As Christmas is getting closer it seems that the usual panic buying has begun. I always tell myself that I’ll buy presents throughout the year and that way I’ll save some money and be super organised and stress free by the time Christmas comes. In truth I tend to leave it until a month or two before the big day and then end up buying online to save me time.

I like to think I’m quite good at buying people presents they’ll like and I tend to look for unique, unusual gifts, but what do you get for those who have everything and want for nothing? The people who you struggle to find the perfect gift for?

Here are a few festive suggestions!

For The Great British Bake Off Fan

Vintage Themed Tala 1960’s Bakeware

Tala Bakeware sell a range of fabulously vintage baking accessories. One of my personal favourites is the Tala 1960’s Biscuits Barrel. I could really do with this! I tend to open a packet of biscuits and then leave the open packet in the cupboard resulting in soft biscuits! This biscuit barrel has a super cute gingerbread lady design and I love the matte sky blue colour.

Another favourite of mine is the Tala 1960’s Cooks Dry Measure. It’s a truly invaluable kitchen tool as you simply pour your ingredients in to the desired level without having to waste time using weighting scales.

I also love the Crinkle Pastry Cutters in Tin. This brings me back to my child hood memories. My mum would be in the kitchen with her apron on, flour in her hair and a big smile on her face as she carefully pressed her cutters into the soft dough. The creations were always tasty and they made cookies and biscuits more fun in their pretty shapes as oppose to the usual round cookies. Here’s a fun tip! If you’re struggling to get your little one to eat their vegetables, why not make some vegetable patties and use these cutters to entice your little one! They can even get involved and help you use the cutters with your guidance.

For The Gaming Geek

Better gaming = LED Tv

Twin Daddy is a massive gamer. Granted he doesn’t get as much time to play his games as he used to since the twins take up all our time now, but did you know that LED TV’s are better suited to other types of TV due to the high refresh rates? Refresh rates help to combat motion blurring, which in turn means a better overall gaming experience. If you’re planning on buying the gaming geek in your family a new games console or a new game, why not pair it up with a new LED TV too?

For The Ghoulish Goth

Take a break in Whitby to learn about Dracula

Whitby is a seaside town and famous tourist destination in North Yorkshire, It’s been dubbed the vampire town because it’s a popular destination for those interested in Gothic Culture, due to its link to the Dracula Story. Why not book your Gothic family member of friend a trip to Whitby and they could stay in one the many Whitby holiday cottages.

Your trip could include a visit to the Whitby Abbey. You could even visit the Dracula experience and go on a guided ghost walk of the town. One of the most popular stories ever told is that of Dracula and he’s been re-created for the stage and screen hundreds of times in the last century. A post-Christmas trip would be a perfect way to see in the new year!

For Your Outdoor Offspring

A pair of snuggly snow boots to keep little toes warm

As the summer draws to a close and the winter weather creeps in, you’ll want to ensure that your little one’s are wrapped up warm for the winter months ahead. Most people tend to buy socks, scarves and gloves as gifts for children, but a pair of kid’s snow boots would probably be better.

If your children were anything like me when I was growing up then they’ll be outside at the first sight of a snow flake falling from the sky! Building snowmen, throwing snow balls and creating snow angels! A pair of snow boots is the perfect gift for your nieces and nephews, sons and daughters and why not treat yourself to a pair too!

For The Car Mad Dad

Ice, ice baby!

If your , boyfriend, fiance, husband or dad is a car lover they’ll surely love this electric windscreen ice scraper. It has a built in heat element that helps to melt ice and frost, plus the rubber squeegee gives a professional finish.

You won’t have to put your back out stretching to reach the other side of your windscreen as the handle extends to reach across the bonnet and it even has a light for early morning and night use, perfect for the dark wintery mornings. It can be plugged into your cigarette lighter socket for ease of use.
