Welcome to Twin Mummy and Daddy! I’m Emily, a 34 year old mum of twin girls living in Cardiff. My husband, Nigel, is also a blogger over at DIY Daddy.

I started Twin Mummy and Daddy in 2012 shortly after the premature birth of our twin girls.

My aim was to share our IVF journey with others who were going through the same experience. In addition I wanted to write about the struggles we faced when our girls were born six weeks early. They spent 27 days in hospital and during that time I found that writing down our experiences as they happened helped us to keep focus.

Over time Twin Mummy and Daddy has gone from strength to strength. I write about our family life, my love for running and our passion for adventure and travel.

We’ve also started living a more eco-friendly life. As such I also write about our zero waste journey in a bid to encourage others to think about the impact they have on the environment.

I’m a keen runner and in April 2019 I ran the London Marathon for an amazing charity called WellChild. It’s one of my biggest achievements to date. I raised over £2,000 for the charity and learnt so much along the way.

This year we’re passionate about spending time outdoors. We’ll be sharing our travel, days out and camping adventures right here on Twin Mummy and Daddy.

Our twin girls absolutely love being outdoors. R is a big football fan and could happily spend all day in the garden kicking a ball around. She also loves reading, drawing and crafts. M loves to dance, do cartwheels and practise her gymnastic skills. She also enjoys playing games, drawing and singing.
