The strength of a parent

The original title of this post, was going to be the strength of a mother. Mainly because I’m a mum and I wanted to get my view, as a mum across. However, it dawned on me that both mums and dads have to have an amazing amount of strength during the toughest times of parenthood. It’s not something you really think about when planning for a baby, or during pregnancy and the early days I guess, but when the unexpected happens, mums and dads somehow manage to dig deep and muster up all of this strength that they probably didn’t… [Read More]

#TruprintDads Father’s Day Gift Ideas

This Father’s Day I want to give my husband something special. A gift that is more than just a gift. Much like myself, my husband loves photos.  We have so many of our children, R and M. Before they were born we filled our photo albums with pictures of travels. Rome, Barcelona, Valencia, Morocco and many more fabulous destinations! This Father’s Day I’ll be creating a very special photo book using prints that I ordered from Truprint. I have a photo scrap book that I’ve glued the prints into and then I’ll write special messages/memories around the photos.  Truprint have… [Read More]

Why I think R and M are lucky to have their daddy

This post is dedicate to my wonderful husband and father of my children, Nigel. R and M are so lucky to have you as a dad. Yes, you’re grumpy first thing in the morning, but I love how you lovingly lay their breakfast bowls out the night before so that they’re ready for them first thing in the morning. You do this every night without fail. I love watching you play with them and seeing how much you enjoy it. Your love for them never ceases to amaze me. They both love you so much and enjoy the time that… [Read More]

Why I could never be a stay at home mum

Some people may think badly of me after reading the title to this post, but I assure you that I love my children more than anything in the world and would do anything for them.  I just don’t think I’m cut out to be a stay at home mum!  I absolutely admire anybody, Mum or Dad, who stays at home with their children 24/7.  Being a parent is the toughest job in the world.  Before my children were born I thought that I would want to spend all my time with my children and that I would never want to… [Read More]

Jacamo Super Dad and Review

It’s not often that I get contacted with a review opportunity for Twin Daddy, so when Jacamo got in touch asking us to review some of their clothes we were more than happy to oblige!   With Fathers Day on the horizon and following a recent shopping spree (on clothes for myself!), I opted for the following t-shirts for Twin Daddy.   Reebok Pack of 2 T-Shirts. £37.00   Voi Soldier T-Shirt. £25.00.     I ordered the above T-Shirts in a medium. The length of the T-Shirts are great, but where the shoulder of the T-Shirt should sit on… [Read More]

The perfect gift

With Fathers day just around the corner it’s got me thinking about what sort of things I’ll be buying Twin Daddy this year. I really enjoy the whole shopping for a gift experience. From thinking about what to buy and having a look online for some inspiration to actually buying, wrapping and giving the gift itself. I think the whole process is great fun! For days such as Fathers day you’ll always find a huge range of cuddly toys, mugs, t-shirts and such like available in super markets, but I like to give gifts with a personal touch.  A gift… [Read More]

Morrisons Challenge

We were recently sent £80.00 worth of vouchers to spend in-store at Morrisons last Bank Holiday weekend. The theme was about Bank Holiday family meals. Morrisions have recently announced that they have made some changes to their pricing and brand.  Morrisons said: “…we’ve cut the prices on over a thousand of your favourite products. Not temporary reductions or supermarket smoke and mirrors, these are new every day low prices on the things you buy every week. So you’ll notice the difference with every shop.” We usually do our weekly food shop at ASDA and top up on a few bits… [Read More]

Thorntons Christmas Gift Mega Bundle Review

Christmas is upon us and that means stocking up on chocolate! I have always loved chocolate (who doesn’t?!) Thorntons chocolates are one of my favourite chocolate brands around! Whilst browsing the Thorntons website, I came across this Christmas Gift Mega Bundle. A bargain at just £30.00 because the contents are worth £54.00 when sold separately! Although I would have liked these chocolates to have arrived presented in a nice Christmas themed hamper, they arrived in a cardboard box, but it does say on the Thorntons website that this bundle doesn’t include a hamper box. This bundle is full of Christmas classics… [Read More]

All Wrapped Up: Christmas Gift Ideas For The Hard To Buy For

Image courtesy of David Costillo/Freedigitalphotos.net As Christmas is getting closer it seems that the usual panic buying has begun. I always tell myself that I’ll buy presents throughout the year and that way I’ll save some money and be super organised and stress free by the time Christmas comes. In truth I tend to leave it until a month or two before the big day and then end up buying online to save me time. I like to think I’m quite good at buying people presents they’ll like and I tend to look for unique, unusual gifts, but what do… [Read More]
