10 things all Brits do on an all inclusive holiday

Having recently returned from an all inclusive holiday to Menorca, I couldn’t help, but notice a number of things that us Brits seemingly love to do on an all inclusive holiday. Some of them are funny, some are plain weird, and some of them I even do myself! So here are 10 things all Brits do on an all inclusive holiday! Clap when the plane lands – Why do us Brits do this? I’m not sure if other nationalities do this too, but I find it pretty funny! On our recent holiday, people on the plane even clapped the Captains… [Read More]

Hotel Victoria Playa, Menorca: Review

We’ve recently returned from a weeks all inclusive holiday in Menorca. When I say ‘we’ I mean my myself, husband, our three year old twin girls, my step-son and my mother-in-law. We went to Menorca two years ago with Thomson and although the hotel was lovely, there was no kids pool or parks for them and the beach was too far away.  When looking for a hotel this time around I wanted something that adhered to the following points: 1. Not hilly as my mother-in-law is 87 so hills are a no-no!  2. A beach within walking distance so that… [Read More]

Yes, I’m that twin mum!

Yup, that’s me! Sitting on the floor with my children whilst you sit on the edge watching your children from afar. I can see you, casting your disapproving glances in my direction. My hair’s wet, because rather than spend the time drying and styling it, I sat with my children and read to them, watched TV with them and talked with them. I’m sorry if my wet hair, dirty jeans and tattooed appearance offends you, but your attitude offends me. Whilst you sit and natter drinking your skinny latte and gossiping, I’m spending time playing with my children. Making sure… [Read More]

#RealMumsAllBran 5-Day Challenge

This post is an entry for the Real Mums of All-Bran Linky Challenge, sponsored by Kelloggs. We’ve all heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but how many of us are actually eating a healthy breakfast? Most mornings I skip breakfast because by the time the kids have had breakfast, showered and got dressed I’ve simply forgotten to eat. When Kelloggs challenged us with the #RealMumsAllBran 5-Day Challenge I was keen to hear more and take part. The challenge was to try their All Bran cereal for five consecutive days. The challenge is all about getting a… [Read More]

All About Me

This meme was created by Gina at Cold Tea and Smelly Nappies. Gina created this meme after her daughter arrived home from school with an ‘All about me’ booklet. I’ve never heard of these before as they didn’t have them in school when I was younger, but apparantly they ask lots of questions in which you and your child have to answer and then you take it back to school where it goes into their file. Anyway, Gina decided to create this meme for parents to find out a little more about us. I was tagged by the lovely Gemma who… [Read More]

All Wrapped Up: Christmas Gift Ideas For The Hard To Buy For

Image courtesy of David Costillo/Freedigitalphotos.net As Christmas is getting closer it seems that the usual panic buying has begun. I always tell myself that I’ll buy presents throughout the year and that way I’ll save some money and be super organised and stress free by the time Christmas comes. In truth I tend to leave it until a month or two before the big day and then end up buying online to save me time. I like to think I’m quite good at buying people presents they’ll like and I tend to look for unique, unusual gifts, but what do… [Read More]

Garden Designs all Children will Love

All homes can benefit immensely from a garden, but for a family, it is worth its weight in gold. Rather than hopping about on the furniture or sitting goggle-eyed in front of the TV, having a garden that children want to go out and play in is immensely rewarding – for them as well as for the parents. Whether you invest in a swing set and a trampoline or create a natural haven of insects and plants, your children will love the opportunity to let off steam in a safe environment that’s all their own; even better, all the exercise… [Read More]

All Change!

It’s amazing how quickly things can change when you have a baby. I’m referring to routines. My last post about our routine, which can be found here, detailed our routine. I posted that 7 days ago and guess what? We now have another new routine! Wow! All change again!  The girls, I have to say, are happy babies. Ok, I know I am likely to be biased, as I am their mum, but I honestly believe they are happy babies! They smile and laugh a lot and only really cry when there is something wrong and I don’t mean hunger,… [Read More]
