Top toddler attractions in Cardiff

August 5, 2014
I’m always looking for new, fun and exciting places to take my twins so I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite places to your toddler is bound love!
We’ve been here a few times and each time our girls have had so much fun!

The first time we went our girls were around 18 months old and the second time they were two years old, but Cefn Mably Farm is suitable for all ages.
On the way in there is a large window which once looked through gives you a view of a some of the rabbits and goats in their pens.
Once you’ve paid you’ll walk past the café, which serves hot and cold food, and straight in front of you is a soft play area.
It’s divided into two sections. The front part is suitable for babies to crawling age and then the second part I would say is suitable from walking age up to the age of four.
There are soft play animals, a slide, ball pit and all the usual things you’d expect to find.
When you go outside the first part is sheltered and you’ll find a petting area, which usually has guinea pigs and rabbits in, which children can pet. There’s also goats, donkeys and birds.
Venturing out of the shelter and you’ll find a small outdoor play area for children as well as all the farm animals.
They also have picnic areas and offer pony rides.
Cefn Mably Farm Park is a small farm. I’d say two hours is the longest I would stay there. It’s not a day trip place, but it is great for spending a sunny morning or afternoon in!
Techniquest is a science musem full of wonderful activity and learning stations.
Once a month they have a toddler day, which I’ve been too twice now and it’s great fun!
They have story time, rhymes and even a disco on our second visit.
On toddler day they have tables out with face painting, play dough, lego and crafts.
Our twins really enjoy the hot air balloon! They press the button until it’s full of hot air and then watch it shoot into the air and come back down again!
They have café serving hot and cold food also.
We love Jump!
If you’re stuck for something to do on a rainy day, Jump never fails!
They even do a twin discount!
Jump is an indoor soft play centre divided into different sections.
They have an indoor football pitch, toddler zone and a huge play area with different levels for older children.
It’s the largest dedicated indoor soft play centre in the UK!
We’ve only tested out the toddler zone as our twins are two.
In the toddler area they have a ball pit, slide, giant trampoline, bouncy castle, ride on toys, soft play inflatable blocks, lego and a small top level you can access by climbing the stairs.
It also has a café!
Where is your favourite place to take your children?
All opinions expressed in this post are my own. I didn’t receive any form of compensation for this post. We just love these places so much we wanted to share them with you!

I've not taken our twins to a farm yet. Hoping to during the holidays as they do seem to love animals x

I remember going to Techniquest was great! Osian's not quite at the age where he's bothered where we go but I do try and take him for walks and to look at the horses and things 🙂 xx

I went to Tehniquest as a child on holiday once, I still remember it. Would love to take my children there one day. We have a Jump! soft play near us too and I agree it is a great place to go. We love to go on walks along the canal near us and feed the ducks, the Little ones are always asking to do that and best of all it is free!! #binkylinky

Science, farm and soft play-so much fun and your photos show it! 🙂 I've not heard of having a twin discount before but that is a brilliant idea. #binkylinky
