Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland Review

On Thursday evening my family and I were invited to review Cardiff’s Winter Winterland. We’ve been taking our twin girls ice skating there every year for the past year, so we were very excited to have the chance to go again. A month of strength training

Yesterday I wrote a post about how my step-daughter and I completed the Cardiff Half Marathon on the 7th of this month. You can read that post by clicking here. Cardiff Half Marathon 2018

Last year I completed the Cardiff Half Marathon for the first time. Despite being injured during training, I recovered pretty well and completed it in 2 hours 29 minutes and 3 seconds. My original target was 2 hours 15 minutes, but after injury, I changed my target to 2 hours 30 minutes, and I was very pleased to have achieved that. I haven’t been able to run properly for around 5 to 6 weeks now. Unfortunately a few weeks back, I injured my leg and have been trying to my best (despite the odd ‘test’ run) to rest. Oh the frustration of being a runner, or any sportswoman or man for that matter, is when you’re injured. This is made even more frustrating when everywhere you go, everyone appears to be doing the sport you’re currently unable to do! In my case, running! Circus Vegas Review

My Favourite Running Routes in Cardiff

As someone who enjoys to run outdoors, I thought I would share with you my favourite places to run in Cardiff. I feel very lucky to live in a city that has lots of parks and scenic areas. Within close proximity to my house are so many beautiful places to run. Here are my favourites. Cefn Onn Cefn One Park in Thornhill Cardiff is full of beautiful trees, streams, ponds and woodland. Do you ever watch a show on TV and then realise that you recognise the location that it’s being filmed in? I quite like it when this happens as I like to guess where the familiar location is. I Completed the Cardiff Half Marathon!
