Simply Swim Review

One of our favourite things to do when the weather gets a bit warmer, is to take our children swimming. We’re very lucky where we live because we have a number of indoor and outdoor swimming pools a short drive away, and one of the outdoor ones is even free!

I like to join in my children when they’re swimming, whether that be on the beach, or at an outdoor or indoor pool.

If we’re at one of our local beaches, our girls, who are six years old, don’t tend to go in the water for a full swim, it’s more of a paddle. That’s why I chose these Halocline Sport Racer Long Leg Shorts from Simply Swim to review. You see, if we’re just going for a paddle these shorts are perfect. It means I don’t have to take my bathing suit or bikini, I can just wear shorts.

Available online for £19, these shorts are perfect for those, like me, who just want to paddle with the kids, but also for those who want extra coverage at the pool. They can be teamed up with the matching Halocline Sport Racer Tankini Top to complete the look.

These shorts are described as long leg, but they’re not knee length, however this style covers more of the thighs whilst still allowing fantastic freedom of movement with their stretchy and breathable fabric. They are also completely chlorine resistant, so they are great for regular use.

They’re also really comfortable to wear, and I like that they also have UPF 50+ protection, and they’re quick drying!

Now, for our holidays abroad, Spain etc, I do like to wear a bikini or bathing suit, as the weather is warm enough to go for a proper swim in the sea or pool. At six years old, ours girls enjoy swimming underwater so I thought I’d join them!

The girls and I were also sent some goggles from Simply Swim.

M chose these bright coloured junior swimming goggles from Speedo in pink (currently priced at £4.99, regular price £6.99).

They’re designed in a mask style to give maximum visibility which is great for our girls. The mask style shape helps to prevent leaking and they fir really well, plus they have an AntiFog Ultra impregnated lens for excellent vision and clarity. The Biofuse technology uses soft and flexible gel-like materials to give excellent comfort and fit and moulds to fit the shape of your face to reduce leaking and marks. They’re also easy to adjust by using the SpeedFit adjustable side clip.

R chose these new Seal Kid 2 goggles (£14.99) which features the micrometric strap adjustment buckles, formerly only available on selected adult swimming goggles, meaning that a perfect fit is even easier to obtain and more robust and long lasting than ever.

Like M’s googles, the Seal Kid 2 goggles is also a mask style and they give a watertight seal for comfort and fog-free vision with no leaks. What’s interesting about these goggles is that they have a blue lens which is great for changing conditions if your children are swimming outside.

Finally I chose a pair or Aqua Sphere Kayenne Lady Goggles in pink (£15.00). I like that they have a clear lens, plus they’ve specially designed to fit a woman’s face. The over sized curved lenses give great vision and an all new super slim micro frame keeps the goggle close to the face for superior, low-drag hydrodynamic performance.

Overall, we’re very happy with all of our products from Simply Swim. Now all we need to do is wait for the sun to make an appearance!

For the purpose of this review, we were sent the above items. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
