30 By 30 Update

January 8, 2014
In 2013 I created my 30 by 30 list. It’s kind of like a bucket list, but rather than being a list of things to do before you die, it’s a list of 30 things to do by the time you’re 30. If you’d like to read my full list, click here.
I thought I would write a little update on how things are going so far.
Number one on my list is to buy a house and I’m pleased to say that as every day passes we’re one step closer to making this a reality. I hope to buy a house in 2014, so I’ll keep you updated on this. On another note, I have so many ideas of how I would like to decorate our home. I know we don’t have a house yet, but my mind is overflowing with ideas! Some of my tastes aren’t quite what Twin Daddy would choose, but it’s our individuality that I’m sure will make our home beautiful! That, plus Twin Daddy is a painter and decorator by trade so I’m sure that’ll help too!
Number two on my list is to lose weight as my ideal goal weight is 9 stone 7. I’ve made a start on this recently and you can read more about the diet I’m doing here as well as my last update here.
Number three on my list is to make our girls a quilt each for their beds out of their old baby clothes. I’ve made one already:

This is R’s quilt. I decided to make R’s first because she stays in her cot at night, whereas M is in bed with us. I’ve made a start on M’s quilt too, so that will be finished soon. If you’d like to create your own, I used this tutorial for some guidance.
Number four on my list is to knit a scarf for myself and with the help of this lovely knitting kit I was sent, I’ve made a start on this already.
Number nine on my list is to get a new tattoo of our girls names and their date of birth. This is something that Twin Daddy and I will be doing in 2014 and I can’t wait!
Numbers 11 and 12 on my list is to raise £2,000 for Cancer Research UK and £2,000 for Bliss the baby charity. So far we’ve raised £690, so I’m sure we’ll easily manage to reach our target by the time I’m 30!
Number 13 on my list is to cook Christmas dinner and I completed this, this year and it was most enjoyable! Here’s a selection of deserts I made for the big day!
Number 16 on my list is was to get highlights in my hair and I did this on December 14th and they look lovely, don’t you think?

Number 17 on my list was to do at least one random act of kindness a year and I did my first one and last of 2013 in December, where I let a man use my parking ticket and he saved £8.10!

So that is my little update! I think I’ve made quite good progress so far, what do you think?
Do you have a 30 by 30 list or a bucket list?

I started one but got stuck after number 14! Now I'm going to do 14 in 2014 instead that way I don't have to think of any more!!
