Things I do that irritate my husband

I was tagged by my husband, Nigel, from DIY Daddy to write about the things I do that irritate him.  These are the six things that I think I do that irritate him. 1. As soon as he comes home from work I’m in his face telling him all about our day and showing him pictures that I’ve taken of our girls that day! 2. I follow him around the house for no reason at all. I almost stalk him! 3. I can be a bit annoying first thing in the morning – he’s not really a happy morning person, whereas when I wake I’m happy… [Read More]

Ten things to do when your child starts nursery depending on your mood

My twin girls will be starting nursery in September. It’s only two and a half hours, but it’ll the slowest two and a half hours ever! I have a range of mixed emotions about them starting nursery school. They’ve always been looked after in their own home by either my husband or I, or my dad. They’ve never been away from home without mummy or daddy so it’ll be a strange and new experience for all of us. I’ve talked to them a lot about starting nursery and have explained that mummy and daddy won’t be staying with them, but… [Read More]

Daddy do it!

Has anyone else experienced their kids going through a phase of daddy doing everything? I’m not allowed to get them their drinks, pick them up or hold their hands! Don’t get me wrong, it can be great sometimes as it means I can sit back and just be an onlooker on the chaos that’s descending in front of my very eyes, but it would be nice to feel wanted sometimes! You know, just now and again would be nice! This happens mostly when we’re on holiday or when we go somewhere with daddy. We went to Menorca on our first… [Read More]

Funny things our kids say and do

Like many other parents around the world I find it incredible the rate in which our twins develop – both physically and mentally. They’re no longer babies, but proper little girls. Little toddlers! When did that happen?! One of the things that always amazes me is some of the things that they say and do! I thought I’d share a few funnies with you!  You can buy everything in the shop right? Buy more wee from the shop – This was when R did a wee in the toilet and wanted to do another one, but she ran out of… [Read More]

30 By 30 Update

In 2013 I created my 30 by 30 list. It’s kind of like a bucket list, but rather than being a list of things to do before you die, it’s a list of 30 things to do by the time you’re 30. If you’d like to read my full list, click here. I thought I would write a little update on how things are going so far. Number one on my list is to buy a house and I’m pleased to say that as every day passes we’re one step closer to making this a reality. I hope to buy a house in… [Read More]
