Twins on the move – Uh Oh!

November 18, 2012

Have you ever sat back and wondered where the time has gone?

One minute your holding your newborn in your arms, the next you’re chasing them around the living room trying to grab whatever it is they have managed to get their hands on and trying to stop them from putting it in their mouths!

9 months! Nearly 9 months old. I can’t believe it. It really has flown by and in some respects I’m glad. I don’t have to try to feed two crying mouths a bottle at once, I don’t have to rock two crying babies at once either!

Now, if both girls are hungry at the same time, it’s so much easier to put a spoon in one mouth then the other, instead of trying to hold two bottles in two babies mouths whilst they swish their heads from side to side!

I can preoccupy one baby whilst I’m trying to get the other to go to sleep, instead of trying to calm two wailing babies at once!

How times have changed!

I love being a mummy but there are some parts of the whole newborn phase that I know I won’t miss!

Our girls are both very interactive now. They love exploring, they love watching and they love, well, everything!

So, now that they are on the move we are entering another unknown phase! Crawling!

I love watching them both on the play mat!

M goes around and around in circles! She also rolls sideways to get where she wants to go!

R drags her body like a commando under one of those net assault course things!

They both attempt to get up onto their knees and when they do, I’m sure they think to themselves, what now?! They rock their little bodies back and fourth before flopping onto their bellies!

Before I know it they will be pulling themselves up onto the furniture and walking!

Where has the time gone?!
