New Beauty and The Beast Product Range!

Beauty and the Beast Product Range

I absolutely love Beauty and the Beast, and I’m super excited to see the new film staring Emma Watson next month which is in UK cinemas on 17th March. Casting my mind back to my childhood I think Beauty and the Best was the first film I ever felt a connection with. I wanted to be Belle! Her passion for books and her kind nature was something that I truly admired and then, of course, there was her love for her father. So much so that she would sacrifice herself for his freedom. Watching her relationship with the Beast develop… [Read More]

Disney Movie Collection Book Review from Parragon Books

We’re big Disney fans in our home. Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney film of all time. It’s an absolute classic and my girls love it too! More recently, Frozen, is another favourite of ours and most days, M, likes to dress up as Elsa. The other day, R, even dressed like Kristoff!   When we were recently sent two Disney Movie Collection books to review from Parragon, I was amazed that both books included every single part of each film. Everything was included! We received Frozen and The Jungle book.   The books are quite long so… [Read More]

Bunting Kit Review and a Crafty Project with The Stitchery

As some of my blog readers may know, I love crafts! Whether it’s working on a project for me or doing something crafty and creative with the kids, I often find myself losing track of time and getting carried away with the crafts! Quite often when the kids have given up, I’m still going! When I was contacted by The Stitchery and asked if I’d like to work with them I was super excited. I chose to review one of their super cute bunting kits, but they also sent me some fabric so that I could make a pretty garden… [Read More]

The Night Before Christmas Book Review

The Night Before Christmas is a classic Christmas book that many parents will be familiar with. This all time classic by Clement C. Moore tells the story of one households experience on the night before Christmas. It’s a classic rhyme with enchanting, modern illustrations from acclaimed young illustrator Harriet Muncaster. This was a book that was read many times over and over again on Christmas eve by me. R and M, our soon to be four year old twin girls, loved this book! They smiled with delight at the pictures of Santa. The rhyming made it easy to read and… [Read More]

The Magic Door Store Fairy Door Review

Today’s review follows on rather nicely from yesterdays fairy garden post. As our fairies had already moved in, it was time to add some real magical memories for our girls. The Magic Door Store sent us a fairy door to review recently and I knew exactly where I wanted it to go! Whilst the girls were busy playing downstairs I sneaked upstairs, into their bedroom and stuck the fairy door onto the wall in their bedroom! The fairy door comes with self adhesive wall putty that hold it in place securely on the wall. You’ll just need to make sure you… [Read More]

The benefits of play dates for parents and children

Play dates are wonderful things. They give children the opportunity to play and interact with other children the same age as them, or in some instances with children who are younger or older than them. They also allow parents to make friends and help children increase their confidence in talking to adults other than their parents. For some parents making friends comes easily, but for others like myself it can be a bit more challenging and stressful. Many mums and dads can be left feeling lonely and longing to make friends. For me it was a pretty long road. I… [Read More]

Sisterhood of the World – Blogger Award

Thank you to Kirsty who blogs at Something Crunchy Mummy for nominating me for this award. Here are my answers to the questions that Kirsty set. 1. What made you start blogging?   I was on maternity leave and wanted a way to continue documenting my life. During my husband and I’s IVF journey I’d kept an online diary on a fertility forum online. I’d written about our experiences of IVF, the emotions that we went through and all about the treatment and tests we’d undergone.    It seemed a shame to stop writing so whilst on maternity leave I decided to… [Read More]

Are you the parent you thought you'd be?

Growing up I knew that I always wanted to be a mum.  I didn’t know how many children I wanted though, nor did I have a preference for a boy over a girl or vice versa. One thing I did know though was that I wanted to be the best mum I could be. Of course that also goes for the majority of the female population I imagine! Being a mum was harder than I ever imagined it to be.  Before having children I had played out various scenarios in my head of the type of mum that I thought… [Read More]

Kids Trainer Review from Get The Label

When it comes to buying shoes for your children where’s your first point of call? Do you go to your local supermarket or sports shop, maybe to the market or ask friends and family for recommendations? I usually do a mixture of all three as I like to be able to try the shoes on my girls to ensure they fit before I buy. Recently I took my girls to have their feet measured so that I could buy them some new school shoes. It wasn’t until I got home that I realised they’d need some trainers too. To save… [Read More]

Choosing the Best TV

Buying a new TV can be stressful. You’re looking for the best quality picture, a device that fits with your rooms aesthetic whilst remaining affordable. There’re plenty of things to consider, so we’ve made it easy with this simple guide. Choosing the best size The perfect size TV will depend on your room and families lifestyle. It’s important to calculate the viewing distance — the space between where you’ll be sitting and the TV. As a rule of thumb, divide your total viewing distance by 3. This should give a good estimate of an appropriate size. For example, if you’re viewing… [Read More]
