Thank you to Kirsty who blogs at Something Crunchy Mummy for nominating me for this award. Here are my answers to the questions that Kirsty set.
1. What made you start blogging?
I was on maternity leave and wanted a way to continue documenting my life. During my husband and I’s IVF journey I’d kept an online diary on a fertility forum online. I’d written about our experiences of IVF, the emotions that we went through and all about the treatment and tests we’d undergone.
It seemed a shame to stop writing so whilst on maternity leave I decided to start a blog as a continuation of my online diary. I transferred my diary excerpts into blog posts and wrote all about our twins girls progress.
Three years on and I’m still blogging!
2. If you had no fear and could do anything, what would you do?
I’d need to have plenty of money for this one, but I’d quit my job and buy a lovely cottage or house somewhere that had plenty of land with it so that I could start a farm. We’d have lots of animals, grow our own fruit and vegetables and open it up to the public!
3. What’s your favourite chocolate?
Pretty much anything Cadburys!
4. If you could take your family anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Italy. It’s a beautiful city, full of history and character.
My husband and I holidayed in Rome a few times before our twins were born so I always fond memories of Italy.
5. Coffee or tea?
Tea
6. What is your favourite TV programme?
I love the soaps – Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale. If I had to pick one I’d say that Emmerdale was my favourite!
7. What is the best book you have ever read?
Has to be the first book I ever bought myself. Along came a spider by James Patterson. I’d read books previously during my childhood, but this was the first ‘proper adult’ book I bought. I enjoyed it so much that I read it in a matter of days. A real page-turner.
8. What is your signature dish?
I don’t really have one signature dish, but I do make a pretty good lemon chicken tagine!
9. What’s your favourite colour?
It depends!
Black is my favourite colour when it comes to clothes! I always buy black cami tops!
If you’re taking about home decor then it has to be soft pastel colours, grey, lavender, white etc.
10. Who was the last person you spoke to?
My husband. I think I asked him for a cup of tea!
I nominate:
Claire from Mums the Word in Cardiff
Here are my ten questions for you:
1. How long have you been blogging?
2. What’s been your biggest achievement in life to date?
3. What’s your happiest moment in life?
4. Do you have any ‘rules’ that you live your life by?
5. If you had an extra hour every day to do anything you wanted, what would you do?
6. What’s your favourite takeaway?
7. Where’s the last place you went on holiday?
8. If you won one million pounds how would you spend it?
9. Have you ever met anyone famous?
10. If you were to become famous, what would it be for?
