Review: Afternoon Tea at Octavo’s Book Cafe & Wine Bar

Last Wednesday was my birthday. I really wanted to do something different from what I usually do so when I saw a Groupon offer back in October for Afternoon Tea in Octavo’s Book Cafe & Wine Bar, I thought it would be a lovely way to spend my birthday. Octavo’s Book Cafe & Wine Bar is in Cardiff Bay on West Bute Street. It’s situated in a former coaching inn, the oldest building (1939) in what used to be called Tiger Bay.  Octavo’s offers a wide range of books that are available to buy, alongside good food and drink such… [Read More]

Did you know that tomorrow is National Tea Day?

It’s basically a celebration of Britain’s national drink, the humble cup of tea! To help us celebrate, Jakks Toys have very kindly sent us a Sofia the First tea set, along with some Disney Princess Toddler Dolls so that we can have a tea party of our very own! We’re big Disney fans in our home so when I took a sneaky peek into the parcel that arrived, I knew the girls would love the dolls! We were sent four Disney Princess Toddler Dollls, Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel and Sofia the First.  The girls squealed with excitement when they saw all… [Read More]

In Nature Tea Gift Set Review

Us Brits are known for our love of a good cup of tea and I happen to be one of those people! Up until recently you’d only find me drinking a traditional English tea, but I have been discovering a whole range of flavoured teas lately and I have to say that I much prefer them! They provide flavour without having to add sugar and milk which is great as it means I can cut back on my sugar intake. I usually have two sugars with each cup of English tea. I’ve recently discovered In Nature Tea who sell delicious… [Read More]

Slimming Solutions TeaTox Review

I was recently sent a TeaTox to review from Slimming Solutions. Recently I’ve been looking for ways to lose weight and improve my general health so I was keen to see how the benefits of a TeaTox would be help. I’ve always been a tea drinker. I don’t like coffee or other hot drinks, so a nice of cup of tea first thing in the morning and last thing at night is always a welcome pleasure for me. The only problem is that I tend to have three sugars in my tea, which – when you consider I’m trying to lose… [Read More]

Bigjigs Village Shop and Accessories Review

If you’ve been following me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram then you’ll probably know by now that for Christmas we bought our twins the Bigjigs Village Shop, along with some of the accessories to go with it.   I’m a huge fan of Bigjigs! I love all of their products, because they’re always fantastic quality, good value for money and they’re so simple with no batteries required, which is great because it really helps toddlers to play and use their imaginations.  I thought I’d write a review of the Bigjigs Village Shop along with some of the items that we bought to… [Read More]

I’m so looking forward to Christmas this year! The twins gifts have been bought and all that’s left to do is put them together and wrap them up! The buying and wrapping presents, cooking the Christmas cake and putting decorations up! I actually made some crafty Christmas trees with the twins a few weeks ago! We have a few Christmas decorations, but… [Read More]

Kensington Brights Tea For One Review

I love a good cup of tea, especially after a hard day’s work or when the little ones are tucked up in bed. I can sit back, relax and watch a film or some soaps on the TV and drink my tea in peace. Thing is the little ones have noticed me quietly, secretively sipping away from a mug whilst stood in the corner of the kitchen and now they like tea too! Only in small quantities though! Even though they follow their mummy and come to think of it their daddy for our love of tea there is one… [Read More]

Weaning Twins…2 months in

It has been a while since my last weaning post, so I thought I would post an update. If you have read my last weaning post I mentioned that I wanted the girls lunch to consist of finger foods. This is because I was keen to have some sort of baby led weaning in the girls routine. However, this hasn’t happened! The girls are now on 3 meals a day, as follows: * Breakfast which consists of fruity, yogurt porridge. I make this up using 150ml of the girls milk.  * Lunch which consists of 2 baby food jars between… [Read More]
