Our ideal home

When my husband and I moved into our first home, it was all a bit rushed and last minute. We didn’t have time to carefully consider the area we would move to, or what type of home we’d like. However, now that we’re older and have worked hard, we’ve been starting to think about our ideal home. We’re currently renting, but we dream of owning our own home one day. We’ve already come to terms with the fact that this will probably be a maisonette, hopefully on the ground floor, with a fairly nice garden for our children to play… [Read More]

My New Year’s Resolutions

Mummy with twins and race medal

I read a blog post that my sister wrote a few weeks ago which was all about what her new year’s resolutions were. After having a read, I felt inspired to write my own list of new year’s resolutions too. Now, I’m not saying that I’ll be sticking to all these resolutions, but by writing them down it certainly gives me some inspiration and perhaps some motivation to stick to them. My first resolution is to continue to eat healthier, in addition to exercising. I’ve written about my progress on my blog and so far so good, so I hope… [Read More]

The Cat in the Hat Show Review at the New Theatre, Cardiff

The Cat in the Hat is probably one of Dr Seuss’s most popular and well known children’s books. Our twins, who are almost four years old, love it. I was curious to see how well it would transfer over to a stage show. Showing in the New Theatre, Cardiff from today until Sunday, 21st February, a few tickets are still available if you’re at a loose end this weekend. When we walked into the theatre to take our seats, the first thing we saw was a colourful house on the stage. As the lights went down we saw two figures… [Read More]

We're in our new house! Now it's time to tidy the garden!

It’s official we’re in our new house! It feels like it’s been a long time coming, but we’re in and now the hard work starts! We have a mountain of boxes that need to be unpacked which I’m not looking forward too!  Thankfully my husband will probably do most of it, which means the garden will be left to me! I love my garden and don’t mind getting my hands dirty, but our new garden has a pretty big tree hanging over the back fence which has left a lot of leaves on the grass!  I think a leaf blower… [Read More]

The Cat in the Hat in the New Theatre, Cardiff

We love going to the theatre. Our twins are almost four years old and they’ve been to the theatre five times. They’ve also been to a couple of live shows too, so I think it’s fair to say that we all enjoy it! We live in Cardiff, so our local theatre is the New Theatre which is situated in Cardiff City Centre.  If you’re a Dr Seuss fan then you won’t want to miss The Cat in the Hat which is showing in the New Theatre, Cardiff from Friday 19th February to Sunday 21st February. We’ll be going to see… [Read More]

Barbie launches three new body shapes!

Barbie has launched three new body shapes, curvy, petite and tall. As a mum of twin girls who are soon to be four years old, I think this is a great step in the right direction. They both love their Barbie dolls, but I have to be honest I have worried about how they perceive the appearance of the dolls. I wrote about it before, but I think in all honestly at their age they probably don’t notice their appearance as much as an older child would.  I think an older child would start to notice Barbie’s slim figure, long… [Read More]

It’s December Already!

I can’t believe it’s December already. This year really has flown by in a blur. We’ve done so much. Experienced lots of new things and our girls have grown so much in the last year too. They’ve gone from toddlers to proper little girls. They started nursery and are doing so well there. They really enjoy it there and I’m so pleased with how well they’ve both settled in. I’m so proud of them both. This year we’ve taken our girls to lots of new places. New farms, days out and new experiences for them such as the cinema, bowling… [Read More]

Room on the Broom Live Show in the New Theatre Cardiff

Today my husband and I took our three year old twins to see Room on the Broom in the New Theatre, Cardiff. Room on the Broom is a book written by children’s author, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. The show started off with four people camping in the woods. As they got into their sleeping bags and sat upright with their backs to one another they started to drift off to sleep. One of the campers then starts to snore and it soon becomes clear that this is a regular problem the campers have to deal with! The two women… [Read More]
