Review: Back to School with ASDA

With the new school term almost upon us, I’ve teamed up with Asda’s Tonypandy store to showcase their new back to school range. Like many parents we don’t like to spend a fortune on new school uniforms, but at the same time we want to ensure that the items we buy for our children are good quality and will last them for as long as possible. With this in mind I decided to review the following items from ASDA: Black Ombre Shower Resistant Hooded Jacket Coral Foil Print Shower Resistant Hooded Mac Girls White Scallop School Polo Shirt 5 Pack… [Read More]

#WeSoFancyDress – A back to school party featuring ASDA!

I can’t quite believe that in less than two weeks’ time our twins will be starting nursery. They’ve never been to nursery or been looked after anywhere other than in their own home so it’s a big change for all of us. I’m feeling a real mix emotions! Anxious about how they’ll settle in and worried that they won’t like it. I think I’ve done a pretty good job preparing them for nursery. We’ve talked a lot about what they’ll do there and they already know their teachers name. They’ve been into the nursery for a look around and we’ve… [Read More]

#OneInAMinion – Minions Goodies from ASDA

Despicable Me is one of our favourite films. Our twin girls love the brightly, coloured, squeaky voiced Minions and I happen to just love them too! They really are #OneInAMinion! ASDA recently sent us some lovely Minions goodies to review.  Our twins are three years old and are so unique and different to one another.  R loves wearing blue clothes. She has a pair of blue shorts that she wears every day! She refuses to wear anything else so it’s a good thing that we have two pairs of these shorts as it means we can wash one pair whilst she wears… [Read More]

Holiday fashion

In just a few weeks’ time I’ll be sunning myself in Menorca and I can’t wait! I’m going on holiday with my husband and our three year old twin girls, my step-son and my mother-in-law. When it comes to going holiday I like to buy some new clothes for both myself and my girls. My wardrobe will usually consist of a few maxi dresses for the evening and some ‘casual’ ones to kick about in during the day. I’ll also have some cheap strappy dresses for the day to wear to the b each, by the pool or when wandering… [Read More]

World Book Day – Rapunzel Costume Review

Today is World Book Day! For those unfamiliar with this event it’s basically a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and of course of reading! This year will be the 18th year that there has been a World Book Day. Today children of all ages will come together to appreciate reading. The main aim of today is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading. One of my big aims this year is to read more to our twins. I don’t read them a bedtime story at night which is something that other parents can be very judgemental about…. [Read More]

A Crafty Halloween

This year will be the first time that we mention Halloween to our girls. We haven’t done so in previous years because they’ve been too young to understand and get involved in with Halloween activities. We’ll make some decorations together to hang up around the house. I have some orange tissue paper I’m sure I can put to good use! We can make paper chains with spiders drawn on and add some cotton wool to make it look like cobwebs! We’ll dress up as cats, clowns or pumpkins and make pictures to put on the fridge, walls and doors. I’ve seen… [Read More]

#whenIgrowup Baby and Toddler Event at ASDA

From 27th August to 16th September 2012, ASDA are holding their Baby and Toddler Event across the UK. During the event leading brands such as Huggies, Pampers and Cow & Gate are giving a donation to Tommy’s, to help ASDA raise £100,000 for the charity, and to help fund its vital work to give every baby the best start in life.  When I was growing up I dreamed of being a number of different things: A Gardener As a child I would sit in our back garden for hours. My sketch pad lay on my lap, the cold grass under my feet… [Read More]
