Pink Lining Twins Changing Bag Review

When I was given the opportunity to review a changing bag from Pink Lining I jumped at the chance!

Pink Lining provides the most stylish and functional changing bags, maternity bags and baby bags for new mums.

I think the postman thought I was loopy when he turned up at my doorstop and I did a little dance on my front step! I’d seen the Pink Logo on the box he was carrying before he got to the front door! I was like a kid on Christmas morning!

We chose to review the Bumble Bees and Stardust Twins Bag.

Upon opening the box the bag was wrapped beautifully in pink tissue paper with a pink ribbon around it.

As we have twins, we have a lot of stuff that we need to take with us when we go out anywhere. I thought that as our girls got older we would need to bring less things with us, but this isn’t the case!

We’re actually taking more with us now than we have ever done before!

In the early days the contents of our changing bag for a full day out would have been as follows:

·         2 bottles
·         8 pre-prepared cartons of formula
·         8-10 nappies
·         2 vests
·         2 bodysuits
·         2 blankets
·         2 hats
·         1 pack of wet wipes
·         Mummy’s make up
·         Mummy’s purse
·         4-6 bibs

Nowadays this is what our changing bag will include:

·         2 drinks bottles
·         2 bottles of water
·         6-8 nappies
·         1 pack of wet wipes
·         2 books
·         At least 2 soft toys
·         2 blankets (comforters)
·         2 other types of toys
·         Biscuits
·         Crisps
·         Mummy’s Makeup
·         Mummy’s Purse

With twins it really does mean double the amount of things to take anywhere with you! This also means that we need double the amount of compartments and lots of extra space when it comes to changing bags!

Our current changing bag has well and truly had its day. It was a great, functional bag that did the job we required, but it has started to look tatty and it wasn’t anything pretty to look at as it was just a plain black bag. I also found that on a lot of occasions I would struggle to do the zip due to the amount of things I had in the bag.

After using the Pink Lining Changing Bag for almost two weeks now, I have only positive things to say about it. It’s the ideal changing bag for twins or if you have two children of different ages.

I love the Bumble Bees and Stardust design on this bag! It’s super cute and stands out from the normal types of changing bags around! I’ve been asked on a number of occasions where the bag is from and have also received a lot of compliments about this bag.

On the exterior of this bag there is a large front zip pocket with the ‘Twice as nice’ slogan and patch and two large side pockets which are perfect for storing dummies so they’re easy to grab when you need them.

It also has a large back zip pocket for the padded changing mat which comes with this bag and it has an adjustable shoulder strap that it long enough to fit over any pram or buggy’s handle bars.

Inside the changing bag you have 2 x inbuilt insulated bottle holders, 2 x detachable insulated bottle holders, 4 x nappy pockets, a pen holder, a key fob, mirror, phone pocket, small zip pocket, padded changing mat and wet zip bag.

The feature that I most like about this changing bag are integrated bottle pockets. Our old changing bag was pretty useless. I would try to stand the girls bottles up in the bag, but by the time we had got to where we were going the bottom of the changing bag would be wet from where the bottles had tipped over.

The Pink Lining Twins Changing Bag comes with 2 removable and 2 integrated thermo-insulated bottle pockets which keep bottles warm or cold for up to 4 hours (subject to external temperature).

The bottle pockets are cleverly designed in that they are at opposite ends of the changing bag so the bag doesn’t get too bulky if you have both or all four pockets full. It also has a drawstring top to ensure any spillages are kept to a minimum, although I haven’t had any leaks or spillages.

This changing bag also comes with this white changing mat with pink edging and wet zip bag.

The bag is made from 100% cotton canvas laminated with EVA coating. This means the bag is easy to clean by wiping it with a damp cloth and some mild detergent. The inside lining of the bag is 100% nylon.

Final Thought

We love this changing bag!

It’s durable, it looks good and it’s the perfect size if you have twins!
