The girls first day at nursery school! Part 2

Following on from this morning’s post I thought I would write an update about how the girls found their first day at nursery school.
I think we’re lucky that they have morning sessions as they’re up early enough and it means that when they start full time school, they’ll be used to getting up in the morning and going to school.
The nursery session was due to end at 11.30, but the girls teacher called me at 10.30 to let me know that M was a bit upset.
I explained to the teacher in the morning that M had a bit of a cold so she did have a bit of a runny nose.
The teacher on the phone told me that M felt a bit hot, her nose was running quite a bit and she was a bit upset so she thought it best for me to pick the girls up as she didn’t want to overdo it on the first day.
We live on the same road as the school so I was there within a matter of minutes. I brought along their favourite toys and blankets with me.
When M saw me she started crying, so I gave her a big cuddle.
R was absolutely fine and I think she would have stayed until 11.30 if M hadn’t have been a bit under the weather.
Their teacher told me that they were both chatty and told her all about our garden, about how R loves football and M loves being a ballerina!
I’m so pleased and proud of them both for staying for as long as they did. I’m even more proud that they didn’t get upset when mummy and daddy dropped them off first thing.
Considering they’ve never been to nursery and have always been looked after at home I think they’ve done so well!
A few days before the girls were due to start nursery I popped into the Pound Shop and bought them some stickers, new drawing books and pens so when the girls got home they were delighted to see these waiting for them.

As the day has gone on, R and M have both said on a number of occasions that they don’t want to go to nursery school tomorrow, but I’m putting that down to tiredness – hopefully!

After they left nursery they both said that they missed it and couldn’t wait to go back so I’m  hoping that after a good nights sleep they’ll wake up ready to go!
I’m so proud of them both, but I did miss them so much!
I’ve spent most of the day hugging them, telling them how much I love them, how proud of them I am and also how brave they both were!
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

We’ve also started living a more eco-friendly life. As such I also write about our zero waste journey in a bid to encourage others to think about the impact they have on the environment.

I’m a keen runner and in April 2019 I ran the London Marathon for an amazing charity called WellChild. It’s one of my biggest achievements to date. I raised over £2,000 for the charity and learnt so much along the way.

This year we’re passionate about spending time outdoors. We’ll be sharing our travel, days out and camping adventures right here on Twin Mummy and Daddy.

    So emotional! They both did very well! I'm getting so sad just thinking of when Eva starts next year! Time goes to quickly and they grow up too fast 🙁 xx
