This week has been a much better week compared with last week. Although I still have a cold which has meant I haven’t been able to exercise again this week as I’m quite wheezy, I have been pretty much on track food wise.
Last week I gained 1lb, but I’m pleased to say that this week I have lost 1lb! My new current weight is 10st6.
I’m definitely feeling better than last week, so this week I hope to be back on track with my exercise. I’ve been really enjoying using the cross trainer and exercise bike. I’ve been alternating between the two and switching every five minutes from the cross trainer to the exercise bike for a total of 30 minutes.
Whilst the cross trainer is a great cardio exercise and it’s definitely helping me to lose weight, I really want to tone up my ‘mummy tummy.’ I have some weights so I’m hoping to squeeze in some exercise using these this week, but I’ve also been looking online at gym equipment to see what else is available that can help me to succeed.
My target weight is 9st7 so I have just under a stone to go.
If you haven’t read my previous posts, I’m doing the NHS Live Well 12 week plan. Apparently it takes on average 12 weeks to change your eating habits. I have to say that in the six weeks I have been dieting my eating habits have definitely changed for the better.
As well as eating better in terms of more fruit and vegetables, I’m more aware of how many calories I’m consuming, plus I’m not snacking half as much as I used to. Whats more impressive to me is that in six weeks I haven’t eaten a single packet of crisps and I don’t miss them!
I used to go through an average of two packs of crisps a day, a chocolate bar or two, plus cake and pretty much anything else I could get my hands on!
I’ve learnt to recognise the difference between when I’m just craving something compared to when I’m really hungry and I now know not to eat if I’m simply not hungry.
Ideally next Friday I would like to have lost around three to four pounds, so we’ll see!
My New Years resolution is brought to you in collaboration with Argos.
