Tips for moving house with children
The infographic below contains some fantastic tips for moving house with children.
Here are some of my own top tips:
- First off I have to agree with the first point in the infographic above. Getting children involved is so important. Children can help by choosing what toys they want left out until the very last minute and they can help to put the rest of their toys away in boxes
- Talk to children about the move. Explain things to them, tell them what the new house is like. Does it have a garden, a bath or a shower? Ask them what they want their bedrooms to look like
- When you arrive at your new home, encourage your children to explore their new home themselves. Give them the freedom to walk and look around themselves
- You can also give them a box each to pack their own things so that when they arrive they can unpack it themselves

I don't have kids; guess I have all this to look forward to when I am a little older 🙂

This must be really helpful for those moving with children, I've only moved twice and without kids it was enough to put me in an early grave! haha so much stress but also a very exciting time 🙂

It's not easy to gather so much helpful info in a short article, but you did it perfectly. Your tips are great and are exactly the help I needed to be more confident about our move next month. Thank you! Your family seems amazing. Wish you nothing but a happiness and healthy life!
