The A-Z of me
I’ve seen a few of these posts around and they look like fun so I thought I’d do one too!
D is for destiny. A bit of a random one, but I truly believe that everything happens for a reason.
E is for Emily. That’s my name. Sometimes I forget that I am Emily and not just mummy. I need to remember this more often!
F is for food. I love it! I eat too much of it. I should lose weight, but I love food too much!
G is for gardening. I’ve been growing vegetables and fruit this year from seeds. The girls have helped me every step of the way and they’ve really enjoyed it. From helping to fill the plant pots up, planting the seeds and watering them everyday, they’re really good helpers and keen gardeners too!
H is for happiness. That’s all I want. For my family and I to be happy. Of course it kind of goes hand in hand with being financially secure too.
I is for internet. I couldn’t live without it. I spend far too much time on it!
J is for just stay at home forever! The girls start part time nursery in September and it feels way too soon. They feel too young. I don’t feel like I’ve had them at home with me for long enough. They’re only three, but I imagine I’ll probably still feel this way when they’re 18!
K is for keep fit. I go through stages of keep fit. At the beginning of the year I started spin class, but that fizzled out quickly. Then I took up running. Something that I still do on occasion, but not as much as I should.
L is for living! That’s what life is for and I really believe we should live each day to the best of our abilities.
M is for mum. Mine is no longer with me, but I make sure I talk to the girls about her often so that she’s never forgotten and so that they know all about her.
N is for Nigel. My husband and a brilliant dad to our girls.
O is for often in need of a spa day! I love going to the spa and I haven’t been for ages! I can feel a trip coming up soon!
P is for Poldark! I watched the whole series from start to finish. I never missed an episode and I looked forward to Sunday evenings so that I could watch Poldark! Since the series ended I’ve pre-ordered the DVD and bought the first two books!
Q is for quaint. I like quaint things. Around the home, clothes, anything.
R is for reading. Before the girls were born I always had my head stuck in a book. Our twins are three now and I’m slowly getting back into reading.
S is for sleep. I love it, but I don’t get enough of it! My husband is great at letting me stay in bed most mornings though!
T is for toys! I buy the girls way too many. I can’t help it! T is also for twins. I am a twin and I have twins! T is also for tattoos! I have over twenty and want another one soon!
U is for us. Us together as a family. Spending time together and being there for each other no matter what.
V is for very special girls. That’s what our girls are. Beautiful, wonderful and clever.
W is for wearing my heart on my sleeve. Sometimes this can be a bad thing, but for the majority of the time it’s a good thing.
X is for I have no idea! I can’t think of anything!
Y is for youth. I may not always look young, but I think I’ll always be young at heart!
Z is for Zebra! There’s one at our local park. Not a real one, but one on a spring that kids can sit on and rock back and forth. M and R managed to climb onto it all by themselves a few weeks ago. They’re growing up too quick!
