The Anagranimals and The Wishing Tree Book Review

The Anagranimals and the Wishing Tree is a children’s book writtin by Leith Moghli. It’s suitable for ages 5-9, however our 18 month old twins, M, in particular really enjoyed this book.

The story is about 6 very ordinary animals – Heidi the Hippo, Pedro the Pig, Lancelot the Lion, Ebenezer the Elephant, George the Giraffe and Rocky the Rhino. The animals long to be able to do things that other animals can do! So, when a magical wishing tree grants them a special wish, they each wish for the best parts of their favourite animals! That’s where the fun starts! Heidi becoms a Hippo-Croco-Puss, Pedro becomes a Pig-Orilla- Roo, and all the other animals are transformed into weird and wonderful new creatures.

I love the illustrations in this book. They’re wonderfully funny and very colourful, with a lot of attention to detail. I have read this book a few times to our girls and they enjoy it. M picks up this book a few times each and will happily sit on the sofa, looking at the pictures!

The Anagranimals and The Wishing Tree is the first of three books by Anagranimals Limited. Plus, they will also be launching a new website with loads of fun and interactive features in the next few weeks.

Over time Twin Mummy and Daddy has gone from strength to strength. I write about our family life, my love for running and our passion for adventure and travel.  

We’ve also started living a more eco-friendly life. As such I also write about our zero waste journey in a bid to encourage others to think about the impact they have on the environment.

I’m a keen runner and in April 2019 I ran the London Marathon for an amazing charity called WellChild. It’s one of my biggest achievements to date. I raised over £2,000 for the charity and learnt so much along the way.

This year we’re passionate about spending time outdoors. We’ll be sharing our travel, days out and camping adventures right here on Twin Mummy and Daddy.
