OptiBac Probiotics for Babies and Children Review

January 22, 2014

I’m very proud to be representing OptiBac Probiotics at this year’s Britmums Live! As my sponsor, they recently sent me a few trial packs of their probiotics for babies & children.

Our twins were born via caesarean section six weeks early and over the course of their almost 2 year old lives, they’ve experienced a number of stomach bugs, infections and colds. Building up their immunity is very important to me.

Research shows that having good probiotic levels helps to support digestion, immunity and energy for infants and children, in particular:
Formula-fed babies
Babies, infants and children during and after antibiotics
Infants delivered by Caesarean Section
Premature infants
Babies and children with digestive problems such as colic, diarrhoea, constipation and lactose intolerance
Babies and children with allergies and skin irritations such as eczema
The sachets can be easily mixed with your child’s favourite cold foods or beverages. I added one sachet to a bottle of cold squash each for our twins. Before giving it to them I had a taste and was surprised that I couldn’t taste it. It just tasted like squash!
Our girls are more prone to picking up illnesses due to their prematurity and even though we haven’t been using this product for very long they haven’t been ill once. I’ll definitely continue to use this product.
Each sachet provides 3 billion live probiotic cultures + 0.75g of prebiotic fibres, guaranteed until end of expiry. It’s suitable for infants and children from birth to 12 years, plus it’s also suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women looking to support their child’s health.
OptiBac Probiotics ‘For Babies & Children’ is a natural supplement, and it’s completely free from sugars, artificial flavours and colourings which can be found in other children’s probiotics. OptiBac specialise in probiotics, and only use strains of the highest quality, with extensive research behind them.

What a good idea. I have had 3 C sections and 2 prem babies, so this would be good for all my children, and it's good that it is tasteless too! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested

I wonder why they are suggested for Section babies? Each of mine has been a section too.
Thanks for linking up this week 🙂
