Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure Theatre Show Review
Last month we went to see ‘What the ladybird heard‘ in the New Theatre, Cardiff. It was our twins first time going to see a show and they absolutely loved it!
We’ve been lucky enough to have actually gone to our second theatre show today! ‘Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure’ at the New Theatre, Cardiff.
This show is on today and tomorrow in the New Theatre at 10am, 1pm and 4pm. The suggested age is 2+ and the running time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
Our twins are almost three years old and they really enjoyed this show!
Before going today we’d watched the Octonauts on TV a handful of times. We love the theme tune, the neutral blue colours of their underwater world and most of all we love watching them in all their adventures!
Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure sees the Octonauts embark on a new mission. Staring Captain Barnacles, Kwazii, and Peso, the brand new stage show, Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure brings the entire crew of the Octonauts to life on stage for the very first time!
During the show they visit amazing underwater worlds full of adventure and surprises! The show is engaging, fun and action packed!
It’s full of music and lots of interaction! Our girls were in awe as they watched the larger than life characters take over the stage!
I wasn’t sure how well the Octonauts would transition from TV to stage, but it worked really well! The costumes of the characters are brilliant and have obviously had a lot of thought put into them as they really do look like the characters off TV! R and M were able to easily recognise them, so they knew exactly who they were!
The show held their attention well throughout and they didn’t at any point get bored or take their eyes off the stage! I really enjoyed it too!
For the purpose of this review, we received four tickets to see this show. All opinions are 100% my own.

I am glad to hear that it translates well from TV to stage – that's always a bit of an unknown! Sounds like heaps of fun, thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
