My little blogging office: How to create a great workspace
One thing I’ve always wanted is my own office.
My own little desk where I can write in peace, without any distractions.
We’ll be moving home very soon, not through choice, but that’s a whole other story! One thing that I’m planning on doing when we find our new home is creating a small area for me to do all of my blogging.
I’ve been thinking about what would make a perfect workspace for me and this is what I’ve come up with so far.
Light and airy
I’d like to have plenty of windows around so that I have lots of light available to me when I’m writing and photographing products.
It’s important to have enough plenty of light so that you don’t strain your eyes, but it can also really to ensure your photos are clear and show what you want them to show.
I wouldn’t want any heavy curtains though, so I think I’d opt for something more classic looking and modern such as some blinds.
Talking of light, a desk lamp is a must, as is a good ceiling light.
Organisation
I write a lot of things down and then tend to forget where I’ve put the paper that I’ve written something on!
Some trays would be good to help me stay organised and I think a pin board would come in handy too!
Maybe even a white board!
Stationary
I’m a big fan of stationary, so I’ll need to have notebooks, pens, paper and sticky notes to hand.
These would probably be left in a neat pile on my desk.
Workspace
I like clean, fresh looks. White desks, white chairs, clean, empty spaces etc.
I’d really like a white desk with some drawers so that I can store things in.
I’d also like to have one of those stands that you can put paper in. This would be very useful if I had handwritten a post and wanted to type it up.
That’s all I have for now, but I’m sure I’ll think of more ways in which I can create the perfect space for me.
