Bluestone Wales Review. Day Two
Before I tell you all about the fun we had at Bluestone today, I promised yesterday that I would share a picture with you of the upstairs of the Ramsey Lodge that we’re staying in, so here it is!
I love the open plan design. It’s very spacious which is great for the kids to run around in!
Moving on and this morning we decided to go for a swim in the Blue Lagoon.
They’re currently having some work done on the changing rooms, which means the changing rooms are currently shared (both men, women and children).
They have family changing cubicles inside which we made use of on arrival.
The main swimming pool was lovely and warm. It starts shallow and gets deeper like most pools. Some areas toward the back of the pool have jacuzzi style bubbles bubbling away.
There is also a wave machine.
The swimming pool has a lazy river which goes outside. It’s great because the contrast of cold air and warm water was quite refreshing!
There is also a small, shallow pool for babies and toddlers. This pool also has some bubbles and a small slide.
Behind this pool are some rock pools that the girls enjoyed climbing in.
There are bigger slides for adults. My husband and I took it in turns to have a go on them and they’re great fun!
We spent about an hour and a half in the pool!
When we returned to the changing room to get dressed, all of the family cubicles were full and there was queue of people waiting for them.
We decided not to wait, so instead stood in a quiet corner to get dressed. It wasn’t ideal, but the girls were cold so we couldn’t really wait for a changing room to free up.
We returned to our lodge for some lunch and then spent the afternoon wandering around the shops in the village.
There’s the toy and clothes shop.
The Gallery, which we didn’t go in, but from peeking through the windows I could see that it has some arcade machines in.
There’s also a shop selling milk, bread etc.

We came across a park which was great fun for the girls. It had a slide, swings and plenty of things to be climbed on.
After the park we drove back to the activity centre and spent some time in the soft play area upstairs.
We then headed downstairs and found a great little play area for the girls to play in.
We had a few goes on some of the rides and the bouncy castle too.
We decided to try out the Knights Tafern for food, although we originally planned to eat in the Farmhouse Grill, but it doesn’t open until 5pm, which was a bit late for us as the girls were hungry around 3.30pm.
I had a delicious chicken balti. My husband had a yummy ham, egg and chips and the girls had sausages, beans and chips.
In total our food and drink came to around £39.00.
We decided to have an early night as we’d had a very busy day and the girls were pretty worn out!
