Keeping the magic of Christmas alive
Yes, you read the title of this post correctly!
I did mention the ‘C’ word in July!
I know it’s over five months until Christmas, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking about it!
Us parents have to be prepared!
We have a lot of organising to do which mainly consists of saving up some money so that we can buy the little people in our lives some presents from Santa.
All this thinking about Christmas has got me thinking about Santa!
Our twins will be almost three years old come Christmas this year.
Last Christmas we introduced them both to Santa.
We talked about who Santa was, where he lived and we talked about everything Santa does to help mummy and daddy prepare for Christmas.
I don’t think they quite understood who Santa was to be honest, but they were only 21 months old!
I remember going into a supermarket around spring time and the shop some giant garden gnomes for sale.
When our girls saw them, they shouted Santa!
Now they think anyone with a white beard is Santa!
I think I’ll talk about Santa a bit more to R and M this year.
I’ll tell them all about what Santa does in the run up to Christmas such as interviewing elves, grooming the reindeers and making sure Santa’s hot chocolate recipe is just right for all of his Christmas visitors!
I love that website!
I think when the girls are around four, maybe five years old we’ll take them to Lapland to meet Father Christmas. I can’t think of anything more magical!
How old were your children when you first introduced them to Santa?

My girls have always known about Santa…..I can't remember exactly when they first became aware of who he was….My eldest last year became aware that he wasn't real….She's 11 and doesn't believe and it made me so sad!
