I love crafts and sewing! Back in April of this year I reviewed my first ever
Craft Club Box and made a super cute triangle pouch. Since April I’ve taken on and completed a lot of my own personal sewing projects, from cuddly toys to mermaid tail blankets more!
This months
Craft Club Box was a super cute watermelon purse! As always, you don’t just get the items you need to make the craft, you also get some extras to feed your fabric and craft stash with! Something us sewing enthusiasts love to do!

I haven’t used any of the additional materials from the box yet, but I love the popsicle melon cotton fabric, and have already been thinking of things I can make with it!
Anyway, back to the watermelon purse! The instructions included with the box I received were super easy to follow. However, if you do struggle, there’s also a handy e-magazine that is emailed to subscribers which has photos and extra steps to help.
The first thing I needed to do was to cut all of the material into various circle sizes. Luckily the e-magazine included a template so I downloaded this, printed it off and made a start!
Once I’d cut all of the materials I needed to work on making a zip cover. I did make a mistake here in that the zip and cover length wasn’t quite long enough to fit the length of the purse, but I managed to solve this by adding some extra material.
I also got the chance to try out the zigzag stitch on my new sewing machine so that was lots of fun!
After all of the material was cut and the zip had the cover on, it was time to start sewing everything together.
I absolutely loved making this watermelon purse! The instructions were easy and I made this purse in just over an hour. I love the added detail of the watermelon charm too!
Once again I’m very happy with the contents and craft kit supplied by Craft Club Box and would definitely recommend Craft Club Box for those of you who love crafts and small sewing projects!

My daughter would love this! She's doing GCSE Fashion and Textiles and is constantly making things with / for my youngest. I'll definitely be showing her this 🙂 x

You are brilliant at all these craft projects Emily. I am totally useless on a sewing machine. The craft club box sounds a good idea for sewing enthusiasts!
