Calm, Colour, Create Magazine Review

With the rise in popularity of adult colouring books lately I’ve often wondered what all the fuss is about. Sure, I love colouring in with my children and on occasion can get a little competitive, but having my own colouring book? I wasn’t so sure!
Calm, Colour, Create is exactly that though. It’s an adult colouring book filled with 68 pages of intricate designs that are just waiting to be coloured in. It’s not like the colouring books that you can buy in supermarkets for children which are often flimsy with grainy paper.
The laminated cover oozes adult sophistication and the thick, quality paper of each page draws you in and makes you want to colour them in. The idea behind Calm, Colour, Create is that it helps to focus the mind and aid relaxation making it a perfect evening hobby. 



You get five free colouring pencils with this magazine which is great as I didn’t really fancy using my girls chewed up crayons! Some of the pencils are a little faint, even when pressed down hard, but the majority are ok, although I might invest in some felt pens!
I was sent the first issue of Calm, Colour, Create, which is ocean themed so it includes patterns of fish, stars, seahorses, etc. The next issue which is available from August 27th  has a floral theme. This magazine retails at £4.99.
I really enjoyed colouring in the various designs. So much so that I found myself completing one section of a design and then instantly wanting to move onto the next. Before I knew it an hour had passed by!
I can see this book lasting me quite a while, but I’ll have to make sure that I hide it from my girls as they would probably enjoy colouring it in just as much as me!
Overall, I’m very impressed with the Calm, Colour, Create magazine!

    I do like the idea of this but I just can't see myself eeking out the time to actually get any colouring done!

    I've been a bit sceptical of these up to know but I quite like the idea of having something of my own to sit and do with the kids when they're colouring in instead of helping them with their own books.
