In the past few weeks I have found myself thinking about the way I dress. My everyday attire is pretty much the same regardless of whether I am in work, at home or going out somewhere. I own 3 pairs of jeans, but I would only class one pair of these as good. The other two have worn out knees and the edges are fraying. You may be wondering why I keep them. Well, it’s because I wear them when my good pair need a wash! I know I could simply buy more jeans and have more than one pair of good jeans, but I honestly don’t see the point in owning more than one pair!
When it comes to tops, I tend to stick to basic vests and cardigans or in the colder months, I’ll wear my usual black long sleeve tops. When it comes to footwear I am just as exciting! I own one pair of trainers and I’m afraid to say it, but I wear them every day! Unless of course, it’s summer then I will make an exception and wear flip flops!
I do own two pairs of high heeled, knee length boots and I have recently purchased a pair of black ankle boots too! Go me!
I would love to dress more feminine. The problem for me is that when I’m in work it doesn’t matter what the weather outside is like, I’m always cold. This is down the air conditioning being on constantly and it’s always cold!
I would love to wear more dresses and less trainers. I recently purchased two black long sleeved bodycon dresses in an attempt to dress better, but then it dawned on me that they would probably look better teamed with a nice pair of shoes as opposed to my trainers! That’s when I came across Simply Feet. They stock a range of sandals, trainers, slippers and fashionable footwear. They also stock some Vionic Footwear. Vionic Footwear combine fashion with function and they’re designed to restore natural foot alignment, function and efficiency.
In addition to shoes and the way I dress, I have also been thinking about my hairstyle recently. I have had the same style since high school and my hair is its natural colour. I get my hair cut every 6 weeks and at my last appointment I asked about some highlights done. My hairdresser did a skin test to ensure I’m not allergic and all I have to do now is decide on a colour. My hair is quite dark brown, so I’ve been thinking about adding in some natural, warm tones such as caramels and light browns etc.
I’d love to lose some weight as well, but I think I’ll save that for my new years resolution!
