This week has been quite tough. I’ve been full up with a cold and wheezy chest, which unfortunately has meant that I haven’t been able to use the cross trainer and exercise bike.
I never thought I would ever say this, but I actually missed exercising and I did attempt to exercise, but within minutes I was breathless and even more wheezy, so I have given it a miss this week.
That being said, although I couldn’t use the cross trainer and exercise bike, I have been using my weights and dumbbells to work on toning my arms up.
At my last weigh in 7 days ago I actually found that I had gained 1lb. Not a massive gain and one that can easily be dropped, but I was quite disappointed.
Following this rather disastrous week, I prepared myself for another weight gain. My previous weeks weight was 10lb6 and I now weigh 10st7.
Not as bad as I thought it would be!
I thought this week instead of posting what I have been eating daily, I would just talk you through it instead.
I’ve managed to eat lots of fruit and veg, which is something that I’ve learnt is quite important. Before embarking on my weight loss journey the words fruit and veg only passed my lips when it came to our twins diet, but never mine.
I have had a few ‘slip-ups’ this week though. On Monday we had a free Chinese for lunch in work and I’m afraid I ate one too many prawn crackers and spring rolls.
The biggest thing for me about losing weight is to ensure my BMI is in the healthy zone, but I also want to lose weight off my tummy and tone my tummy up.
I’ve noticed a slight decrease in the size of my tummy, but not as much as I would have hope so this will be another goal for me to focus on in the coming weeks.
As ever, I’ll keep you updated.
My New Years resolution is brought to you in collaboration with Argos.

Good luck with your goal. I hope you are feeling better too. I always get a bad chest when it's cold.

Thanks Amy. I had a really bad chest infection last time, so hoping I'm not getting another!
