We met Father Christmas at Hamleys, Cardiff!
Hamleys, Cardiff recently invited us to meet Father Christmas in a one hour magical, festive event!
We went along to Hamleys today and had such a fantastic time!
Our twins are three years old so Christmas is an especially enchanting and magical time for them.
When we arrived we were greeted by three elves, Elfie, Snowy and Jingle. Jingle took the lead and welcomed all of the children before writing each child’s name on a sticker which was then given to the children to stick onto their tops.
Jingle talked to all of the children about life in the North Pole with Santa and we then had an ‘elfie selfie’!
Next, we walked toward the rear of the store to the party room. We followed one of the elves who danced and sang her way to the room!
With a little bit of Hamleys magic the doors to the party room opened and in we went! I wasn’t sure what to expect to be honest, but the room was warm and inviting. There was a Christmas tree, big teddy bears, a fire and Santa’s chair.
The first thing we did was sit down to have some food. I expected a snack so the girls and I went into John Lewis before hand and had some food in their cafe. I was a bit surprised when they brought out burgers and chips as I genuinely thought it would just be a snack! Although our girls didn’t eat any, it did look lovely!
Next up we did some singing and then Santa entered the room! He was a really good Santa and I loved that he knew all of the children’s names! Santa said hello to the children and then we sat on the floor whilst Santa read a story.
After story time we did some crafts. The girls coloured in some Christmas cards and then we had the chance to go up and talk to Santa. R told Santa that she wanted a Spiderman costume and M told him that she wanted Peppa Pig!
Santa then handed the girls a gift bag each which contained a Hamleys Teddy, a pack of crayons, a reindeer Christmas decoration and some chocolate.
Overall, the girls had a fantastic time! They loved meeting Santa and the whole experience was truly magical! Thank you Hamleys!
