Vivid Baking Cookie Kit & Chocolate Pen Set

Baking is a favourite hobby of mine. I’m actually surprised that I haven’t yet made a start on the Christmas cake! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been reviewing some fabulous baking goodies from Vidid Baking. The first of which was a Cake Pops Set and the second was a Great Baking Set.

This review however will be of the Vivid Baking Cookie Kit and the Chocolate Pen.

First up we have the cookie kit. Inside the box you’ll find:

• 1 x Silicon Baking Sheet
• 1 x Rolling Pin
• 1 x Rolling Pin Guide
• 14 x Cookie Cutters
• 1 x Piping bag

This kit is available on Amazon for £14.99.

The idea is to use the baking sheet to roll out your dough into a level sheet. You can then use the various cutters to cut out your shapes. As mentioned above there are 14 cookie cutters and these are all different shapes and sizes.

There is an instruction leaflet included as well and this tells you how to use the items included, but I think it would be a nice added touch if there was a cookie recipe included as well.

I love the rolling pin. It’s lightweight and a great size for children of all ages to use easily. Overall, I think this is a great set for any budding bakers.

The Chocolate Pen is a favourite of mine! Also available on Amazon, this set costs £19.93 (price accurate at time of review).

The chocolate pen requires 2 x AAA batteries which aren’t included, again a bit of a shame, but never mind! Essentially the chocolate pen allows children to write, mould and decorate in delicious liquid chocolate which then hardens into solid chocolate at room temperate or in the fridge.

They’re perfect for decorating your treats, cupcakes or even writing your name in chocolate! You can also make your own colourful chocolate creations for any occasion using the shaped moulds provided. The moulds are all of different things. There’s even a bat and a ghost which would be perfect for Halloween!

Inside the set you’ll receive:

• Chocolate Pen (requires 2 x AAA batteries – not included)
• 3 mould trays
• 4 nozzles & clamps
• Caps, 12 bags for chocolate
• Instruction booklet

Overall, I think that both of these products are great for kids who love to bake. They’re aimed at children aged six years and over, but our twins are four and love them!
