Great Baking Set Review

As part of my Real Baking series of reviews, today I’m bringing you a review of this super cool ‘Great Baking Set’. Click here to read my first post in this series which features a cake pops kit.

The Great Baking Set is aimed at children and 6 years and over. It includes 25+pieces.

These are:

• 16 cupcake cases
• 4 x piping bags
• 3 x measuring spoons
• 1 x large bowl
• 1 x small bowl
• 1 x suction cup
• 1 x egg cracker
• 1 x silicon baking tray
• 1 x icing nozzle

I really like the different colours of the pieces included in this set. They’re bright and pleasing to the eye, but they’re also really well made.

I really like that there’s a suction cup as this solves a problem that I face quite often when baking with my girls. If they’re mixing ingredients together in a bowl, the bowl can move all over the place. The suction cup stops this so it’s a good inclusion in this set!

I must admit though that I think the cupcake cases are on the small side, as is the baking tray, which only has room for four cakes. I’m not sure I know anyone who only makes four cakes. Actually, I’m not sure I’ve ever come across a recipe that only makes four ‘small’ cakes!

The egg cracker is a good idea and it works fairly well. You simply pop your egg in, press down the big yellow button and your egg is cracked. I think it’s great for kids who’ve never cracked an egg before.

The piping bags are also great as I’m always using them to ice our cakes!

Overall, I think this is a pretty nice baking set and I’d definitely recommend it.
