Twenty Wishes for 2017

January 25, 2017

I love a good blogging tag and when I was tagged in this tag by Five Little Doves I couldn’t wait to take part!

So here goes!

5 Personal Wishes

1. To loose weight. I feel like this is something I say every year and yet I never seem to change. At the beginning of every year I throw myself into exercise and healthy eating, then by Easter I find myself neck deep in Easter Eggs trying to convince myself that the scales must be broken! This year will be different! I’m doing a workout a day which involves two spin classes a week that I’m really enjoying at the moment. I sometimes lack motivation so knowing that I’ve paid for class, really gives me the kick I need to get going! However, I can be lazy with food and opt for an easy meal such as a takeaway so this is something I’m still working on!

2. To spend my time wisely. Everyone is running out of time. I know that’s a pretty morbid thought, but it’s true and it’s not about to change. Why waste time doing the things you hate, when you can spend that time doing the things you love with people you love. I want to spend more time outdoors with my family. I want to spend more time indoors being more productive. Not just sitting and watching TV, but playing games together, making crafts together, cooking together etc!

3. Read more books! My husband bought me a kindle for Christmas so I’ve been very good at reading. I’ve already read and finished one book this year and I’m half way through my second! Go me!

4. I’d love to find more time to do the things that I enjoy such as sewing. I think from time to time I just need to put my laptop away, forget about work and get my sewing freak on!

5. Spend more time with my husband. So many nights my husband and I sit on the sofa in silence either watching TV or our phones. I can’t remember the last time we had a proper conversation! I’d love to spend more time with my hubby this year!

5 Blog Wishes

1. I’d love to get more Facebook likes and more Facebook interaction. My favourite social media platform is Twitter so that’s where I tend to spend most of my time, but Facebook is just as important. I’ve joined a blogging Facebook group which I’m hoping will help improve my Facebook metrics!

2. To be more social! To spend a bit more time being social, starting up conversations with other bloggers and readers on social media, to share more blog posts from my favourite bloggers and comment on other peoples blog. This is something my husband is very good at, so I may need to go to him for some help!

3. To make more money! I don’t think my blog will ever make me a millionaire, but it does fairly well. I’d like to be more motivated when it comes to finding opportunities.

4. To continue blogging and posting content most days, but also to remember why I started blogging and not to loose sight of that.

5. To write more engaging, interesting content.

5 Family Wishes

1. To have an absolutely amazing time when we go to Disneyland Paris! Haha! This goes without saying, but I am super ridiculously excited and just had to get a mention in that we’re actually going to Disneyland!

2. To be more present. To put my phone away and be with my children. Listening to them, talking to them, playing games with them and more!

3. To make weekends more family orientated. So often our weekends are taken up with things, that we never have the chance to do things just the four of us. I’d like to spend our weekends more wisely, even if it’s just to go for a nice family walk.

4. I continue to wish that our girls will do well in school and that they’ll enjoy it whilst they’re there.

5. To make ever lasting memories and to take more photos, but to actually do something with those photos afterwards! I have a huge box of photos just waiting to be stuck into photo albums!

5 Hopes and Wishes

1. To have a happy and healthy 2017

2. To enjoy our holidays and have lots of lovely days out

3. To spend more time together as a family

4. To more patient and mindful

5. To say yes more

Ahh yay, thank you for taking part. I love all of your wishes! You are so talented with your sewing, I can’t wait to see what you come up with this year! I agree with being more present, leaving my phone in my pocket when I’m with the children is something I have been doing much more of lately, and since Eva started school our weekends have become much more precious too. I hope that all of your wishes come true!! xxx
