Bigjigs Play Patrol Mission 4. Build-a-Bouquet and Tea Set Review

Agents Double Team have received their fourth Bigjgs Play Patrol mission an it’s one of my favourite ones so far! Mission four is to put our creative skills to the test to show you the creative potential of the toys we’ve been sent.  So with this in mind we’ve been very creative taking lots of photos and we’ve even created a video! We were sent two toys to put to the test for this mission. First up is this fabulous Build-a-Bouquet toy by Green Toys. Available online from Bigjigs for £20.99 and suitable from the age of two onward, this toy… [Read More]

Messy Kids do Christmas!

This is an entry into Two Little Fleas Messy Kids Competition. Last year was the first year that I made a Christmas cake. Don’t get me wrong I’ve baked cakes before such as cupcakes, madeira cakes, sponge cakes, but I’d never baked a Christmas cake before. Luckily I was sent a Christmas cook book which had an easy recipe in so I thought I’d give it a go. It turned out rather well I thought… What do you think? This year I’ve decided to let our twins help me make our cake! I felt more confident in my abilities to bake a… [Read More]

Mini Micro Scooter Review

A little while ago I was debating whether or not to get our girls a bike. I couldn’t decide between a trike or a balance bike. After asking around on Twitter the general consensus was to go for a balance bike, so that’s exactly what we did. Sadly, a number of months after buying the balance bikes they’ve barely been used. It never even crossed my mind to get a scooter each for the girls. I’d seen children the same age as our girls and older going around on scooters, but I only ever thought about a bike. When micro-scooters kindly agreed to… [Read More]

Bigjigs Play Patrol Agents Double Team are back to face their second mission! Ready for action and prepared for anything this mission saw us venture into the garden for some fresh air and outdoor play! We readied ourselves for what could be the toughest mission yet…fun with a friend! R and M were both sent a beautiful doll each – Mandie and Katie. Mandie boasts a colourful check print dress with red apron, hair bows and red shoes. Katie has opted for a lovely shade of blue. Dressed in their Bigjigs t-shirts and hats, R and M were having so… [Read More]

Mini adventures in Devon – Haven Devon Cliffs Review

Travelling anywhere with children takes time and quite often a lot of preparation. Making sure you’ve packed everything from favourite toys, blankets and comforters to snacks, games, clothes and more. It can be an almost military operation! When it comes to going on holiday with toddlers – well that’s a whole other story! I’m a mum to two year old twin girls. They’re cheeky, adventurous and love running around and having fun! With this in mind we decided to go on holiday to Devon. More specifically Haven’s Devon Cliffs Caravan Park. The caravan park appeared to have everything we needed to keep our girls… [Read More]

Bedtime routines at two years old

It’s been a long day. 6.30pm arrives. The girls are in their pyjamas, as am I! We make our way into the kitchen and grab a bottle of milk from the counter top. M is in daddy’s arms, whilst R is cradled in mine. We return to our front room. The blinds have been closed and the curtains drawn. We’ve said goodnight to the outside world and turned the lights off. The TV is on mute and I can’t wait for the girls to sleep so I can just sit and do nothing! At just over two years old, I… [Read More]

Bigjigs Muffin Tray and Tea Tray Set Review

It’s official! Both R and M are Bigjigs Play Patrol Agents! What are Play Patrol Agents I hear you ask? Well, they are highly trained little people who complete secret missions for Bigjigs by putting fun to the test! Our first secret mission is to play with the two items we were sent, which are a Candy Floss Muffin Tray and a Candy Floss Tea Tray Set. To help us with our mission Bigjigs sent R and M a Play Patrol T-shirt, cap, certificate of approval and some secret note paper and a pencil each. R and M are two… [Read More]

Britmums Live! 2014. Day Two

To read part one click here. I didn’t intend to write two posts about Brirmums Live. However, after writing all about day one and realising how much I had to say, I thought it was best to split the two days into two posts! Following a very busy and tiring first day, I wish I could say that I had a good nights sleep, but sadly I didn’t. I think a combination of being away from home and a busy day had something to do with this.  The room I was in was also quite noisy so that probably didn’t… [Read More]

Teaching children about D-Day

If, like me you’re keen to home educate your children, a part of this may involve taking educational trips overseas. Much like schools where children are often taken abroad to Germany or Austria, I think Normandy would be a great trip for school-aged children. It’s easy to teach children about events such as the D-Day landings using text books, the internet and pictures, but how great would it actually be to take your child to the place that it happened? Normandy has so many places you can visit to learn about D-Day. From museums to historic sites such as the… [Read More]

Tiny Bike Balance Bike Review from Fun4Kids

I’ve been debating for a little while now about whether to get our girls a balance bike each or a trike. I took to Twitter to ask some other Mums and Dads for their opinions and experiences and the majority suggested a balance bike. Our girls already have a Scuttlebug each, which is a three wheeled ride on, but it’s not suitable for outdoor use as it has caster wheels. Plus our girls are getting a bit big for them now. They’ve been great though! We were recently sent one Tiny Balance Bike from Fun4Kids and I purchased another one too. We… [Read More]
