Teaching children about D-Day

If, like me you’re keen to home educate your children, a part of this may involve taking educational trips overseas.

Much like schools where children are often taken abroad to Germany or Austria, I think Normandy would be a great trip for school-aged children.

It’s easy to teach children about events such as the D-Day landings using text books, the internet and pictures, but how great would it actually be to take your child to the place that it happened?

Normandy has so many places you can visit to learn about D-Day. From museums to historic sites such as the Pegasus Memorial and even cemeteries.
