Something Special! Mr Tumble Review!

Ever since I discovered Justin Fletcher on CBeebies, I have had such a huge amount of admiration for him and all that he does for children. His TV shows are always fun, loud and lively. They always involve everyone, no-one is excluded and kids are fascinated by him and the various characters he plays!

I really think Justin Fletcher is such a great attribute to the BBC! My girls love him and we were lucky enough to see him live last year, which was amazing! This is why I jumped at the chance to review some Mr Tumble toys.

We were very kindly sent a Lights & Sounds Mr Tumble Soft Toy and a fantastic Mr Tumble Felt Set. I actually made a little video, which you can view below, of both of these, and I think I had way too much with them!

The Lights & Sounds Mr Tumble toy is different prices depending on where you look, but I found him cheapest on the Debenhams website at just £16. Price correct at time of publication.

The Lights & Sounds Mr Tumble has a fun light up bow tie and he says lots of Mr Tumble sounds & phrases. I love his laugh! It’s pretty infectious!

To make Mr Tumble talk you simply give his left hand a gently squeeze! It’s really easy! I love that his bow tie lights up, as do our twin girls!

Now, this may sounds weird, but I love Mr Tumble’s hair! It’s so soft, I could just stroke it all day!

The Lights & Sounds Mr Tumble also comes with the famous spotty bag, which can be removed. The bag can be opened and closed with the velcro fastening, as can his waistcoat, although this can’t be removed as it’s sewn on.

Mr Tumble can stand all by himself and the soles his feet are bobbly and textured which I’m sure younger children will love!

As you can see from the photos, Mr Tumble is very bright and colourful!

Moving onto the Mr Tumble Felt Set, which is my favourite, it includes over 60 felt pieces so children can create their own scenes with Mr Tumble and Friends. Inside the box you’ll find four sheets of felt various felt pieces, as well as one red board.

I do wish there were two boards included so that two children can play at the same time, but that’s probably just because I have twins!

Three of the felt sheets have the characters of Mr Tumble, Grandad Tumble and Aunt Polly on, along with various accessories such as balloons, a flower, shovel etc, and the fourth sheet just accessories on such as an umbrella, kite, bowl etc.

It was really easy to pop them all out and they stick onto the board really well. The felt pieces are surprisingly durable. When I was a kid I had a similar felt set and the felt pieces were easily torn, so it’s to see that these ones are tough! The board is also pretty thick and not flimsy at all, which is great as it means it will last a long time.

Overall, I have to say that both of these toys are fantastic. They’re really well made, thought out and in my opinion, excellent value for money.
