Sassy Bloom Box Review

September 24, 2013

Sassy Bloom is a family run business. They are the original personlised baby box subscription service, which is perfect for mums and their little ones. Subscriptions start from just £24.00 with free delivery. Sassy Bloom says that each month you will receive a beautiful gift box filled with the very best hand picked baby products. I was recently sent a pre launch sample box to review.

The box in which the products arrived in is beautifully packaged and well made. It ws decorated with a lovely, silvery ribbon which I thought was a nice finishing touch. I do think that the box and brand name doesn’t really sound like something I would relate to baby products, as it looks and sounds more like something I would expect lingerie to be packaged in and the name ‘bloom’ kind of makes me think bloomers! Anyway, when I opened the box, I was pleased to see that the contents were wrapped up well as opposed to just being placed in the box. Presentation is everything and if I was buying this as gift for someone I would think so far so good!

Sassy Bloom promise to deliver a specially tailored monthly box with contents aimed specifically at your child’s age across a range of brands. Each box guarantees a retail value upwards of £30.00.

Moving onto the contents of the box, mine included:
  • 1 sample size pack of waterwipes
  • 1 anti colic MAM bottle
  • 1 Munchkin snack catcher pot
  • 2 Hipp Organic food pouches, suitable for ages 4 months plus
  • 1 Shea Mooti ‘Mama’s Soothing Leg and Foot Cream
  • 1 Reusable Snack & Everything Bag
  • 1 sample size Organic Babies baby wash & shampoo

I love the idea of having a box full of goodies delivered to your door monthly, especially as they’ll be tailored to your baby’s age. The contents of the box I received were great, but they are some of the most commonly found baby items in local supermarkets. This does make me wonder if it’s worth paying for taking into consideration that it’s quite likely you’ll already have purchased some of the items that you might get sent and if like us, you have a baby who has silent reflux, some of the products may not be suitable such as the bottle.

I also think it would be great if they introduced a box for those expecting twins or those who have twins, which could include two of everything.

Overall I think this is a great idea, but I’m not sure if it’d worth the money.

For the purpose of this review, we were sent 1 Sassy Blooom box.

I do feel this is a good idea but I don't like the name at all!

Great review but i also feel like the name should be something more to do with the kind of products as this name really does not make me think of Baby products i thought of make up for some reason lol.

I'd definitely like to see some more "individual" items in there, something I would just pick up while doing my grocery shopping.

I've given up on subscription boxes, samples are no good to a lot of people especially when it comes to skin/bath products as you never get enough to know if it suitable for your skin type. I think this box is a good idea but probably needs a bit more thought into the products offered.

Good honest review, I got made a lovely hamper type box from my sister. It would be better with full sized samples though.

I think the concept is great BUT i don't like the name at all, it sounds like it should be a lingerie range or something. Totally irrelevant to baby products.
    Fab review though.
