Personalised Kitchen Mum's Keepsake Hanging Slate: Review

I often talk on my blog about how I would like to decorate my home when we finally buy a house. I guess now would be a good time to talk about the kitchen!

I love simple, country style kitchens with those big ovens and a huge wooden dining table for all the family to sit round and eat together.

We’d have a few bits and bobs around as finishing touches. One of those finishing touches would be this lovely hanging slate by Treat Republic, which were recently sent to review.

I love how simple this looks. It’s not fussy, it’s not over the top, it’s beautifully simple and I think it will look right at home in our country style kitchen!

It’s made from locally produced Welsh slate and threaded with a rustic woven cord to enable it to be hung anywhere in your kitchen. I’ve hung it up on the wall as I think it adds a little something extra to a blank wall and makes a nice change from a picture or calender!

This would make a really nice Christmas, Birthday or Mother’s day gift, plus it can be personalised with your Mum’s name, making it extra special.

It’s quite heavy because it is made from slate, but the thread is strong enough to hold its weight. I love the heart shape and love that this is a gift you can keep forever, unlike flowers or chocolate!
