Personalised Backpack and Cap Review from JD Sports
The kids now back at school meaning peace and quiet has been restored across many households, it’s time for mums and dads to make the most of this time! My twin girls are three years old and have recently started nursery part-time. It’s all very new to us and has been quite an anxious time!
One thing I have done to help make the start of this new phase of their lives easier for all of us is to ensure that all of their clothes and shoes have been labelled. It was time-consuming to say the least! From writing their names on labels to sticking them onto their clothes, shoes and bags, to writing directly onto their clothes with permanent marker too, it took me around an hour!
I’ve learnt from my mistake and will be taking a slightly different approach next time around when it comes to labelling their school bags and accessories.
JD Sports have recently added a new personalisation option to their bags and caps which means you can now get three initials added in white or black stitching. Great news for mums and dads as they’ll do it for you saving us time and also our fingertips from getting sore!
The lovely people at JD Sports recently sent me two Nike Side Swoosh Caps, a Puma backpack and a Supply & Demand Backpack so that we could review them and their new personalisation options.
The Nike caps will be great for summer time and with our girls initials stitched onto the sides it means that if they do go missing whilst in school, their teachers will know exactly who they belong too. Plus it also saves our girls from arguing over whose is whose!
The Puma backpack I was sent has one large pocket on the front and also one inside. On a recent trip to West Midland Safari Park, I have to say that the inside pocket was the perfect place to keep our portable potty as it was so easy to find in the backpack and put away again after use.
The backpack itself is a good size and I was able to fit quite a lot into it. The personalisation aspect was great too. My initials were added to one of the straps in white which helped to make it stand out against the black colour of the bag.
The Supply & Demand backpack is a bit more trendy in comparison to the Puma one in my opinion! I love the quilted effect on the front!
There is a small pocket on the front and also a smaller zipped one which was handy for keeping my spare camera battery in and some spare dummies also. Inside and again the bag is spacious and hard-wearing.
My husband’s initials were stitched onto one of the straps too, again in white so that it stands out.
As we all only have two initials, we didn’t make use of the new three initial personalisation, but my maiden name was double barrelled so it’s a good option for those with double barrelled names!
Overall, we’re very pleased with the bags and caps. The personalisation option looks pretty cool and it blends in well with the caps and bags designs so it didn’t look out of place.

I never even knew JD sport offered this but what a great idea. My eldest is in secondary school so is too big for labels in her clothes but this is nice and discreet and would be perfect for older children. X
