Christmas traditions are pretty important to me. They’re things that can be remembered and treasured over many years.
I wanted to start some Christmas traditions of our own and since the birth of our twins, I think we’ve done just that!
Here are some of our family Christmas traditions:
Baking our Christmas together. My mum always made a Christmas when I was younger, but I can’t ever remember helping her to make it. I might have done, but I can’t be sure. Baking our Christmas cake has become a family tradition and our twins love to help me.
Every year I buy our girls one new Christmas decoration each for the Christmas tree. That way when they’re older and have their own homes, they’ll have lots of lovely decorations for their tree and hopefully each one will hold a special memory of each Christmas gone by for them.
Christmas eve boxes have started to become a bit of a tradition. It started by accident when I saw someone on Facebook had one for their child. I thought it was a nice idea so decided to make one for our girls and it’s kind of continued from there really!
Christmas stockings. I know that some families don’t have Christmas stockings, but when I was growing up I loved waking up on Christmas morning to find a stocking full of presents at the end of my bed!
Christmas eve pyjamas. Much like the Christmas eve box, new pyjamas on Christmas eve has become a bit of a tradition in our home so we’ll keep doing this too!
What traditions do you have?

Oh reading this definitely got me in the Christmas spirit! I love your traditions, I'm 20 years old and have been having Christmas eve pyjamas since I can remember too.
I love starting new traditions as well though. My boyfriend and I take a pre-city break to somewhere festive every year and I also have a tradition of watching the holiday on christmas eve with a hot chocolate!
