Octonauts Octopod Playset Review
If you have a toddler and also happen to own a TV then the chances are pretty high that you know exactly who the Octonauts are, but just in case you don’t know here’s a brief explanation!
The Octonauts is a British children’s TV series that is aired on Cbeebies. It’s an animation that follows Captain Barnacles, a polar bear, and his crew on their underwater adventures.
Captain Barnacles crew consists of Kwazii who is a cat, Peso who is a Penguin, Professor Inkling who is an octopus, Dr Shellington who is a sea otter, Tweak who is a rabbit, Dashi the dog and Tunip who is a vegimal! As you can see his crew is made up of a diverse mixture of animals!
We’ve actually seen the Octonauts live show and it was really good. Our girls enjoyed it and they also enjoy the TV series too. When I given the chance to review the Octonauts Octopod Playset I had to say yes! This playset is available to buy here.
The Octonauts Octopod Playset is made by Fisher Price and is suitable for children aged three and over.
It does require some assembly as it’s in a few various parts, but it only took me around five minutes to put together. The instructions that come with it are very easy to read.
Once it was together, the next step was to add the stickers. I love that it comes with stickers too as it means you can identify the various pods. For example there’s a medical pod which has sticker on of a plaster! There’s also a handy guide to show you where the stickers go!
Included in the box you’ll find:
- 1 x Captain Barnacle figure
- 1 x Kwazii figure
- 3 x Creatures (turtle, crab and an eel)
- 4 x Rescue tools (net, barrel, anchor and flat platform)
- 1 x Mini Gup-A
- Removable Octo Alert

This looks great for fan. It would be fab for role playing. My daughter doesn't watch the programme though although i'm sure she'd still play with it lol!

How cute is this! I love the Octonauts as it's a great gender neutral show as my son loves it and think this toy is perfect for allowing little ones with loads of space for imagination

My daughter is currently going through an Octonauts obsessive phase (much preferred to the My Little Pony one!) and has asked for Octonauts toys for Christmas so we will be checking this one out for sure.

Love the look of this – looks like there are plenty of accessories to go with it and I love that the OctoAlert button is removable too. A fab toy for little Octonaut fans 🙂

I love the Octonauts! It's a shame it doesn't go in the bath..it would make an awesome underwater hideaway for Captain Barnacle! It looks great and little ones imagination could run wild with that! #TriedTested #LetKidsBeKids x
