We’ve teamed up with Petplan for their exciting new campaign which asks children to put their artistic skills to the test by drawing their dream pet. This could be with wings, eight legs, three heads or it could even glow in the dark!
To make this campaign even more magical, their dream pet drawing will then be transformed into an amazing soft toy for them to keep and treasure forever.
R decided that her dream pet would have a dogs head, cats body and the tail of a dragon! She was very excited at the idea of this and couldn’t wait to get started drawing her creation.

Once R was happy with her final drawing, it was time to add some colour!

As you can see, R’s dream pet is very cool and colourful. It even has a cool baseball cap, ribbon bow and rabbit ears!

We then sent off R’s drawing off to Petplan and waited for her magical, soft toy creation to arrive in the post.
A few weeks later, it turned up and R didn’t waste any time in ripping the parcel open! As you can see she is very happy with her dream pet toy!

The likeness to her picture is pretty amazing, and we were both very impressed! Made from soft felt, R’s dream pet is soft and cuddly! It’s definitely a toy that she’ll treasure forever because she was the one who designed it!
Like R’s dream pet, any pet you have should be cared for and treasured forever. In January of this year, we recently got our own pet. A rabbit that our girls named Snuggles. As you can see he’s a bit of a poser, and a very fashionable one!

As a responsible pet owner, it was important to us that we took out pet insurance. That’s why we chose Petplan’s Pet Insurance. Their covered for life policies offer lifetime pet insurance and will cover your dog, cat or rabbit for new conditions year after year, as long as you renew your policy each year without a break in cover.
Whenever we’ve had pets, we’ve always gone with Petplan for insurance. Since Petplan’s inception in 1976, their priority has been to keep the nation’s pets healthy and their owners happy. What’s great is that Petplan works with more animal rehoming charities than any other pet insurance provider and they’re committed to supporting charities and the vital work they do in any way they can.
Do you have a pet? Let us know in the comments below.
This post has been possible thanks to Petplan, but all thoughts are my own.

Oh my goodness, I love R’s Dream Pet. We don’t have any pets at the moment but I’m keen to get the kids a dog for Christmas. #ThatFridayLinky

We have had a bunch of rabbits come and go and add joy to our family over the years. Such sweet and fluffy pets!
Right now our dream pet is a slobbery, 150 pound St. Bernard that my youngest son longed for and finally received as a puppy 7 years ago.

Oh she looks so pleased with the toy – so sweet. We have two cats and two fish. The poor cats were my babies before the babies and are not very pleased by these four interlopers! #thatfridaylinky

Aw, so lovely! I am envious of R now, as I’d love my very own dream pet soft toy. MIne would probably have a dragon’s tail too.

Great post. I love the idea of drawing your ideal pet. I’m not sure what mine would be, perhaps something that doesn’t need a lot of walking and can be sent to collect things from the fridge! #ThatFridayLinky
