It seems like only yesterday that I wrote a post about our new home so it feels sad that to say that we haven’t even been in it for a year and we’re having to move again.
This will be our twin girls fourth home and they’re not even four years old yet. How does that seem fair? Each time we move I hope it will be for the long term, but it never is. Our previous landlord decided to sell up and it seems that is also the case with our current home too. I feel sad that our girls don’t have a permanent place to call home. It doesn’t seem very fair at all, but I guess when you’re renting that’s a risk you have to take.
I won’t go into too much detail, but we originally signed a 12 month contract back in February 2015 and have since heard that there has been a falling out with the landlords family and our letting agents about the length of contract we signed. As a result the family who own our current home are wanting to sell up.
We’re lucky that our letting agent showed us around two properties on the same day that we found out this news, so as a result we do have a new home to go to which, but I just hate all the uncertainty and upheaval.
My husband and I were planning to speak to mortgage advisors this month about buying our own home, but this move has set us back again as it’s costing money to move again. It means we have to pay out fees, a deposit again, as well as the costs of hiring a removal van, changing internet suppliers and the hassle of changing our bills over.
I hate how hard it is for hard working people to buy their own homes. It seems that you can work all of the hours under the sun, save all of your money and yet you’ll still always be at a disadvantage.
I hate renting and I hate that I can’t give our children a permanent home to call their own. End of rant!

Sorry to hear that. It is a terrible upheaval for all the family, and as you say the cost of moving makes saving for a deposit harder as it eats into savings. Hope your next move proves a longer term move for you xx

Oh that's such a shame and so unfair. You and your family haven't done anything wrong but you are being penalised for it. You will have to spend more, stress more so you can find a home you can stay in for more than a year. That sucks lovely. Moving home has to be one of the most stressful events people go through, lets hope this move you make is a more permanent one! Buying a house is quite stressful, this time last year we were in the finalising stages and finally glad it was coming to an end, after so many set backs. Fingers crossed for you and your family xxx

It's about time the government did something to help people. They need to start building affordable housing for people, which at the moment rarely happens. The sooner this government goes the better. Hope it gets better for you x

Poor you. It must be really hard work to keep moving and not have somewhere you can feel secure in. I am currently in the process of moving after nearly a decade and am not enjoying the experience just as I didn't the last time we did it. Getting on the property ladder for the first time these days must be equally as precarious. I wish you the best of luck for the future and hope you get to move somewhere to stay very soon. 🙂

I feel so sorry for you, how awful that you have to move again. It can be stressful as well as expensive moving too. I am lucky that we own our flat.

I hear ya! We're currently renting and it feels like getting a mortgage for ourselves is an uphill battle we're just never going to conquer. I think it's so difficult these days if you haven't got financial help from parents etc. I don't know anyone who's bought a house by saving up their own deposit whilst renting. It's so frustrating.
But don't worry for the twins – they'll be fine and a new move might be quite exciting for them! This is their normal so they won't know any different. Hope the move goes smoothly, keeping fingers crossed for you! LPMx

I feel your pain! We moved into our flat in October and are planning to move again in April – it's our choice, but now that we have a baby we really need to be living somewhere bigger and in a better neighbourhood. Good luck with the move! #bestandworst

Oh no, so sorry to read this Emily 🙁 After just moving recently I would hate the upheaval that much too and especially for your girls. I hope the move goes smoothly and that you are settled into your new home and it is more permanent for you. Thanks for linking up lovely #bestandworst
