Most Played With Toys In Our Home
I like writing about the different ways in which our girls play.
I really enjoy watching them using their imaginations to play. They like playing with their Bigjigs village shop. One will be the shop keeper and the other will be the customer.
They like dressing up and acting our various roles and they really enjoy playing with their Happyland toys.
Our twins are three years old so they’re pretty much into everything, however they do have some firm favourite toys that will get played with on a daily basis.
I thought I’d share with you some of the most played with toys in our home.
Happyland Forest Fairy Treehouse
I bought this for our girls Christmas just gone and they play with it every day.
I’ve bought them similar toys before such as the Little People Disney Princess Palace, but this one really doesn’t get played with.
Happyland appear to have the secret recipe when it comes to creating toys for children. I don’t know if it’s the colours or the adorable characters that go with them, but they’re a huge hit in our household and they really help to get the girls thinking and playing creatively.
I do think the Happyland toys are expensive. The tree house retails around £50, but I guess in terms of how often it’s played with it’s worth it.
The tree house is pretty special to be fair! Your child can turn a handle to lower or raise a removable fruit basket, helping the fairies move things around their homes. The rooftop compartment opens up to reveal a living room, and the doorbell makes two electric sounds.
There’s even a slide that the fairies can use to get from the tree top to the basement, or they can take a ride in their snail-drawn carriage!
With this set you get 1 tree house, 1 snail, 1 carriage, 1 fruit basket, 1 table, 2 chairs and 3 fairies.
Happyland Fairyland Bluebell Boot
Another Happyland toy that is played with daily is this one. Much like the tree house, it’s colourful and provides hours of imaginative play opportunities.
Bluebells light up when the tinkling doorbell is pressed. The tongue of the boots folds down into a slide, and there’s a little fairy swing under the bluebell at the back.
This set comes with 3 fairies, an elf and a pet caterpillar. There’s also a table with food and two chairs, a kettle on a stove and a petel bed for relaxing on. We also had a wobble along hedgehog with ours, but this appears to be sold separately now.
Orchard Toys Shape Snap
I’ve mentioned this toy previously on my blog and I think it really deserves another mention!
It’s a simple, yet highly effective way to teach children shapes.
The set comes with a variety of cards which have different shapes and their names on.
You can play this as the title suggests by simply playing snap, but we use the cards a little differently.
We’ll lay down one of each shape card in a row on the floor and then I’ll hand R and M a card each asking them to name the shape and then they’ll match it to the corresponding card on the floor.
It’s a fun game that encourages learning and also teaches children the importance of sharing and taking turns.
Our girls have many other toys, but these are definitely the most played with! Some other toys that the girls enjoy playing with include Playdough, Mr Potato Head and floor puzzles.

That is such an adorable picture!
The best thing we ever bought was the Lego Duple house when my daughter was eighteen months old. She still plays with it now she is almost seven! It was definitely worth the money 🙂

My daughter had the Happyland boot for her first birthday and we still have it (she's 7 now!). My one year old plays with it now so it was worth holding on to. Great post 🙂

Sophia loves happy land toys too she got the house and bus for Christmas and they get played with every single day. I think I will be buying her more for her birthday and Christmas x

Elsa loves her Happyland sets. We have the pirate ship, the train set and the zoo but she probably favours the pirate ship because she can push it all around the flat. We have quite a few bits of Disney Little People things as well and she absolutely loves the princess castle! Her favourite toys at the moment are her Comic Relief red noses though! She's got almost all of them and she likes to put them in her Frozen bag and carry them about.

Thanks for posting! My three-year-old triplets are more into creative play than playsets like the ones you mention here, but they love the normal stuff: Legos, Playdoh, etc.

Orchard Toys in general are a huge hit with my three year old twins as well as their six year old sister. There're so many that bridge the age gap so that they can all play together. Mine are also more into creative play and LOVE dressing up. We don't have any Happyland sets, but one of my twins in particular likes the ones they have at our local multiples groups. The Sylvanian Families set that we got them at Christmas hasn't proved to be that popular. #Multiplemadness
