There’s no doubt in my mind that if you love cooking the chances are you’ll know who Mary Berry is.
For those who aren’t familiar with her, she is one of the best known and respected food writers and television presenters in the UK.
When The Works recently asked some bloggers to choose a book to review I knew exactly what I wanted!
This book will take you from new cook to good cook or from good cook to great cook according to The Works website.
The book contains an extensive range of recipes from soups, starters and mains to bread, puddings and cakes.
I really enjoy cooking, but sadly don’t find the time to do enough of it!
As well as recipes, this book also has lots of information about basic kitchen equipment, plus it also includes a number of kitchen techniques such as whipping egg whites.
The first few pages gives tips on preparing different vegetables and there are also lots of recipes for fresh vegetables.
The recipes are easy and the instructions are clear to follow with images of each recipe.
Our twins have two favourite meals.
Spaghetti and mppeatballs is number one and coming in at a close second is mushroom risotto with chicken.
I had a look through Mary Berrys Cookery Course book and was delighted to see a recipe for both of these meals! Suffice to say these are two recipes I will definitely be trying out!
Overall, I think is a really good cookbook. It’s good vie for money and it’s a book that I’ll be using for many years to come.
For the purpose of this review I was sent a copy of Mary Berry’s Cookery Course Book.
