Easter has been and gone in a blur.
It’s the first year that R and M have really understood the concept of Easter.
I planned ahead what I wanted to do and got everything ready.
I bought some plastic eggs from a pound shop – the kind which can be opened up to allow you to fill them with chocolate – and I also bought them a plastic Easter basket each.
I also bought some Easter decorations and crafts such as make your own Easter cards, paint your own egg and egg box etc!
The girls had so much fun and so did I! It was a great day made even more special by the family members that came over to share the day with us.
I always find events such as Easter and birthdays etc are the perfect time to catch up with family about what’s going on in their lives.
Sometimes I think life goes by so fast that before we know it we’ve missed out on so much of other people’s lives because we’ve been too busy concentrating on our own lives!
Did you know that it’s normally at family gatherings that hearing problems can be detected. Sounds a bit random in an Easter post I know, but it’s true!
How often do you visit family? Regularly or just on special occasions?
When family are all gathered around you can notice changes in older relatives such as hearing problems. I guess when they’re home on their own they may not notice it themselves. They may turn the volume up a bit more than normal on their TV’s, but not think anything of it.
It’s a good time of year when family are all together to make sure the health of their parents, grandparents or other family members are doing okay with their health or things such as their hearing.
I think it’s so important for them, but also for their children or grandchildren.
I’m really looking forward to Easter next year and hoping that it’ll be warm and dry so we can have our Easter egg hunt outdoors for the first time in the garden!
