During the summer months I often looked for something I could use in the garden to help keep our girls cool and also to protect them from the sun. I have a sun umbrella, but it’s not very big.
When I was asked by Garden Games to review one of their play tents I was overjoyed! I chose to review the Pink Love Heart Wigwam as I simply love the pink, girly design. As well as being an outdoor tent, you can use it indoors so it can be used all year round.
Garden Games began in 1997 when Stuart Cardy made the first Hi-Tower for his twins’ first birthday party. Stuart invented this first truly Giant Tower game to keep his guests entertained at a family barbecue and from that very first step Garden Games Limited was born, and will always remain exactly one year younger than his twins.
The motivation behind their first product was to produce garden entertainment, not just for children but adults too, and that has remained the driving force behind the company. They also offer a range of sandpits, play equipment and Action Climbing frames that are all about the younger members of the family.
Garden Games also now make an incredible range of outdoor games, all of which are inspired by the energy and determination that went into Stuart’s original Giant Tower. Their products are fun, exciting, engaging and wholesome.
When the Wigwam arrived I was surprised by how small the box was. I expected a really long, tall box, but that wasn’t the case.
It was really easy to put together, simply by joining the six pole together and then threading through the canopy. I then had to thread the rope through the holes in the top of each pole and then secure by tying a knot in it. Once I stood the Wigwam up I did re-adjust the knot to ensure it was tight enough and then I spread the poles out to create the Wigwam shape. Overall it took me about 15 minutes to assemble.
Once up in our living room, M was the first to dive in and she didn’t come again for quite some time! R decided to take all her toys in and create a little tea party!
This Wigwam is bright and funky an it’s really good quality. It features a wooden pole constructions and yet the canvas covering has been carefully selected to be more at home at a teddy bear party or in the more brightly coloured bedrooms of little party princesses.
The Wigwam is 1.4m in diameter and stands at 1.9m tall. I can’t wait for the summer to arrive now so that I can put it up in the garden!
This Wigwam along with many others are available to buy online at Amazon.
For the purpose of this review we were sent one Wigwam.
