Cussons Mum and Me: New Mum Range Review
As part of the Cussons Mum and Me Real Mum Panel I have been sent a number of products from their New Mum range. I know our twins are almost two years old so technically I’m not really a ‘New Mum’ anymore, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t use their range of New Mum products.
Cussons Mum and Me are one of my favourite brands ever! They have a great range of products for mum and baby and they’re all really affordable and fantastic products to use. Cussons Mum and Me have created a brand new range of products to help us all through the amazing ups and downs of becoming a mum, right from bump to New Mum to Baby. Cussons Mum and Me have been taking care of all kinds of skin and hair for over 100 years!
Their new range has been designed by mums like me and you. They listened to over 1,200 real mums who told them that:
- There is no such thing as super mum
- It’s impossible to be a perfect mum
- We all just want to be the best mum we can be

Before our girls were born I would quite often shower twice a day – once in the morning and then again when I got home from work. I always washed my hair every day and never even dreamt about skipping a day. Since becoming a mum I now shower once a day and wash my hair every other day. My daily shower is always with our twins – never a moments peace!
On the days that I skip a wash I use dry shampoo – what an amazing invention! I was sent a can of Cussons Mum and Me Skip A Wash Dry Shampoo. The dry shampoo that I normally can on occasion leave a residue in my hair which makes my hair look grey! Something that at the age of 26 I don’t want to see! The Cussons Mum and Me Skip A Wash Dry Shampoo is wonderful!
The first time I used it I instantly noticed the amazing smell! It really does smell amazing! It contains rice starch and oat kernel which quickly absorbs grease, leaving your hair looking refreshed and revived in-between washes, plus it doesn’t leave any residue!
The second product I received was a pot of Firming Butter.
It contains marine algae extract which helps to leave skin feel tighter, firmer and more toned during use. An impressive 78% of women noticed an improvement in 4 weeks. (78% of 140 women following twice daily usage). I didn’t exactly have a toned stomach before our girls were born, but since their birth my belly is more wobbly! This cream is rich and thick and it does really feel like it moisturises my skin at the same too. It’s also dermatologist approved.
The third product I received was Boob Firming Serum.
After expressing every three hours during our girls stay in special care, it’s safe to say that my boobs aren’t as firm as they used to be! This serum contains Kigelia Fruit Extract which helps the elasticity of your skin feel improved. It absorbs easily and leaves your bust area feeling firmer and tighter. Like most Cussons Mum and Me products it also smells nice too!
The fourth product I received was a pot of Cleanse and Protect Hand Gel.
With a new baby or two around it’s more important than ever to ensure you wash your hands regularly. It’s handy size means you can also pop into your changing bag. A quick squirt of this hand gel will see off 99.9% of bacteria and ensure you don’t spread germs before feeding, after nappy changes and whilst out and about.
