Review: Personalised Watch & Notebook from Happiness Is A Gift #ADGIFTED

I have a confession to make. When it comes to stationary I’m a bit of a hoarder. I have an ever growing collection of beautiful notebooks that sit on my bedroom dressing table. I absolutely adore them. Just looking at them makes me smile! There’s just something so satisfying about the feel and look of an unused notebook. It’s a blank canvas that’s just inviting you to start something amazing. Perhaps a love letter, poem or a best selling novel! Happiness is a Gift recently sent me an exquisite, personalised, natural tan leather notebook. It arrived beautifully presented in a… [Read More]

Review: DEXA SCAN: Body Fat, Muscle, and Bone Testing #AD

As someone who likes to exercise, it’s important to me that I’m able to look after my body properly. In doing so I can perform at my best, so when I was recently invited to have a DEXA scan I was keen to find out more. A DEXA Scan is used for basic body fat measurement. It’s a way to precisely measure body composition such as muscle, fat and bone. It’s often used by athletes to pick up muscle asymmetries between their left and right sides. This is important to me because when I was training for my first half… [Read More]

Magic Body Fashion Review

As someone who enjoys regular exercise it’s important to me that my activewear can live up to the demands that I put them through. I exercise six days a week so finding clothes that are comfortable, wash well and are durable is a must! MAGIC Body Fashion recently sent me an active bra top to review. Available online for £26.50, this active bra top is perfect for the classes I go to. I love that it has a built in bra as it means it’s one less thing for me to wash, plus it’s comfortable and I think it looks… [Read More]

Review: Tailwind Nutrition UK for London Marathon Fuelling

Before I begin I just want to clarify that I wasn’t paid to write this review. I bought the products mentioned in this blog post with my own money, and decided to write my own review. On Sunday 28th April 2019 I will be completing the London Marathon for Wellchild, the national charity for sick children. It will be my first marathon and naturally I’ve found that I have a lot to learn! I’ve previously completed the Cardiff Half Marathon twice, but knowing that I’m going to have to double that distance for London is pretty daunting. I usually use… [Read More]

Review: Afternoon Tea at Octavo’s Book Cafe & Wine Bar

Last Wednesday was my birthday. I really wanted to do something different from what I usually do so when I saw a Groupon offer back in October for Afternoon Tea in Octavo’s Book Cafe & Wine Bar, I thought it would be a lovely way to spend my birthday. Octavo’s Book Cafe & Wine Bar is in Cardiff Bay on West Bute Street. It’s situated in a former coaching inn, the oldest building (1939) in what used to be called Tiger Bay.  Octavo’s offers a wide range of books that are available to buy, alongside good food and drink such… [Read More]

Festive Fun at Mecca Bingo #AD

On Friday night my sister and I were kindly invited to Mecca Bingo in Swansea to enjoy a night of festive bingo. The last time we went was back in May when we went along for their Bonkers Bingo night. You can read all about that here. On our last visit we were given our books and dabbers to mark off our numbers. This time, however, we were given the option to use an electronic board, and I have to say they’re amazing! Fans of the traditional book and dabber pen need not worry as you can still use these… [Read More]

Review: Hiding Space Westgate Apartments, Bath

My friends and I recently spent a weekend in Bath to visit the Bath Christmas Market. We had an absolutely amazing time. I really enjoyed exploring all of the different chalets and seeing what was for sale. It was also incredible listening to the street music and just taking the atmosphere in. The smell of mulled wine and chestnuts roasting just added to the atmosphere! I would definitely recommend a visit! Anyway, this post isn’t about the Christmas market! You can read all about that in my post here.  Whilst in Bath we stayed in the Hiding Space Westgate Apartments…. [Read More]

Neveo Family Journal Review

Photographs are very important to me. I try to capture as many natural photos of my family as I can. I then like to display them in a frame or photo album.  So many people take photographs on their mobile phones, but they often get forgotten about which means they’re never seen again or shown to anyone. I think this is such a shame. After all, photographs are meant to be shared, and that’s why I think Neveo is a wonderful idea. Neveo is a monthly newsletter that you can create and send to your family. Primarily aimed at grandparents… [Read More]

Thermae Bath Spa Review

On the last weekend of November my friends and I spent the weekend in Bath. We booked earlier in the year with the intention of exploring the Bath Christmas Market. You can read all about the Bath Christmas Market on my blog here. A few days before we went, my friends sent me a message asking if I’d like to go to the Thermae Bath Spa during our weekend away. Of course I jumped at the chance and said yes! The Thermae Bath Spa is an award-winning day spa, combining the ‘old and new’/ There are two historic spa buildings, The… [Read More]

Bath Christmas Market 2018

Last weekend, myself and a few friends spent the weekend in Bath. We booked to go early in the year so that we could explore the Christmas markets, and we weren’t disappointed. This was my first trip to Bath and I have to say that it’s such a beautiful place. I really can’t wait to go back there again. The Bath Christmas Market started on the 22nd November and the last day is the 9th December. It’s a shame that it’s not on a little longer, but if you do get the chance to go before it finishes, I highly… [Read More]
